Miu Miu Fall 2015 Front Row

Miu Miu Fall 2015 Front Row
A trio of stars were in attendance for the Miu Miu Fall 2015 show, hosted during Paris Fashion Week on Wednesday (March 11) in Paris, France.

Lea Seydoux
: We couldn’t be surprised to see Lea front and centre, as one of Miuccia Prada’s dedicated followers. The French beauty wore a luxe look, which combined a white lace frock with a fuzzy, fur coat and silver sandals to accent the collar embellishment. A sleek ponytail added a youthful flair to the wintry-spring style mix.

Renee Zellweger: Debuting a new fringe bang, the actress channeled a Parisian-chic vibe with her tousled topknot and red trench coat worn over a black lacy dress. Here, the nude pumps and metallic top-handle bag were well-placed, yet perhaps the flush of a cherry-stained lip or a smoky eye would have taken this look to the next level of polish.

Odeya Rush: ‘The Giver’ starlet paired a navy, collared top with a patent-red, croc-embossed skirt to bold, punchy effect. On this occasion (and only this one), I don’t mind the added clunk of the platform sandals for their quirky and spirited twist for which the Miu Miu label is known.

Julianna Margulies In Michael Kors – PALEYFEST LA Presents ‘The Good Wife’

Julianna Margulies In Michael Kors - PALEYFEST LA Presents ‘The Good Wife’
Julianna Margulies attended The Paley Center For Media’s 32nd Annual PALEYFEST LA for ‘The Good Wife,’ hosted at Dolby Theatre on Saturday (March 7) in Hollywood, California.

Minimally modern and simply chic must have been her mantra, and she followed it well in a Michael Kors Pre-Fall 2015 black dress with a subtly shimmering, halter-inspired neckline.

The epitome of an LBD, the design was classic and sophisticated without being yawn-worthy.

In keeping with the minimal aesthetic, her makeup was nude and natural, with Jerome C. Rousseau ‘Taboo’ notted-bow sandals provided the perfect ending to the look. Did you miss a bolder lip?

Louis Vuitton Fall 2015 Front Row

Louis Vuitton Fall 2015 Front Row
The front row of the Louis Vuitton Fall 2015 show certainly faced no shortage of the usual LV-outfitted stars who all made Nicolas Ghesquière’s runway a must-attend during Paris Fashion Week in Paris, France.

Jennifer Connelly: Continuing to show off a new, softer side with her Louis Vuitton looks, the actress wore a feminine, printed velvet frock with a relaxed silhouette, cinched in for shaping by a skinny, brown leather belt. Gilded, gold-embellished shoes injected some of that more familiar edge to this ensemble, and I loved the pop of her berry lip for added oomph.

Fan Bingbing: Going for tough-luxe appeal, the Asian star teamed a gold-lined, black leather moto jacket with a sheer, white sweater and front-slit skirt. A range of accessories completed the look with a bit of ’80s-inspired excess, including statement earrings, round sunnies, rows of rings and a hand bracelet, a signature LV monogram shoulder bag, and platform cutout sandals—with blue nail polish, no less. She nailed an urban, street-style sensibility here.

Selena Gomez
: Playing with patterns, Selena took a sophisticated turn in this mixed print, prairie dress with a black accent belt. She completed the prim frock with a pair of black booties and a couldn’t-miss-it yellow handbag, which I actually loved as the youthful exclamation point to this pretty look.

Celebrities Love…Solace London

Celebrities Love Solace London
Although the Solace London brand launched just over a year ago, the line has already graced many a red carpet with a constellation of starlets gravitating towards the chicly minimal yet statement-making collections of dresses, jumpsuits and separates.

Helmed by Laura Taylor and Ryan Holliday-Stevens, Solace London subtly entices with a design aesthetic that’s defined by modern graphic elegance with a focus on construction, craftsmanship and attention to detail. Yet the high-street looks are surprisingly very affordable.

Jennifer Lopez stepped out as the first celebrity to really embrace the collection when she impressed in a plunging, white body-con dress during an appearance on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ last year. She wore the brand again on his show a couple months ago, this time opting for an alluring pair of metallic-pink trousers.

Following J. Lo’s lead, lovelies including Lily Collins, Gabrielle Union, Caitriona Balfe, Anne Hathaway, Carmen Ejogo, and Jhene Aiko have all been spotted in the Solace London label, strikingly wearing the provocative cut-outs, sultry column gowns, pencil dresses and separates in fine form.

The Solace London affection doesn’t stop there—other PYTs who have picked up on the cool factor of this power label include Bella Hadid, Chanel Iman, Kendall Jenner, Julianne Hough, and Zendaya Coleman.

I love how such simple, clean and effortless lines can have such maximum impact.

2015 Oscars & Vanity Fair Party Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Oscar men

The men were out in force at the 2015 Oscars and the 2015 Vanity Fair Oscar Party, where there was plenty of handsome inspiration to go around from a fine group of fellows.

Jared Leto: Getting the evening started on a non-traditional note, the actor and musician was every bit the unorthodox Academy Awards dresser in his baby-blue Givenchy tux, accented by a white bowtie and white lug sole shoes. He let his hair down literally and made no excuses for it, saying that the Oscars was his going-away party for his locks. I wonder if the beard was also included in that party. While no one could pull this off like Jared, between the mane and the male pastels, this was verging on almost too much too handle.

Chris Pine: A stark contrast to Jared, Chris went for the all-out traditionally classic route and suited up in a Giorgio Armani black double-breasted peak-lapel tuxedo. It was impeccable and goes to show what transformative power a well-tailored tux can have.

David Oyelowo: Looking as if he was inspired by the red carpet itself, the ‘Selma’ actor dressed to impress in a crimson Dolce & Gabbana three-piece tuxedo word with #TackleEbola handcrafted pin by Jason of Beverly Hills. He does a great job pulling off this colour, yet I’m not completely sold on the satiny look of the vest and bowtie underneath.

Emma Stone In Altuzarra – 2015 Vanity Fair Party

Emma Stone In Altuzarra - 2015 Vanity Fair Party

Emma Stone attended the 2015 Vanity Fair Party, hosted at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday (February 22) in Beverly Hills, California.

Looking to another era for inspiration, the actress channeled vintage glamour in a plunging red, pleated gown with deco-inspired sequined embroidery from the Altuzarra Fall 2015 collection.

The dropped-waist, above-the-ankle silhouette had the spirited influence of flapper styling.

I’m not a huge fan of the lace, scarf-like detail, as it feels like a mere afterthought here, although it saves the neckline from verging on too bare.

She styled the retro-facing look with black Christian Louboutin ‘Just On’ sandals and the same wavy ‘do from earlier in the evening.

With plenty of love and also loathing directed towards her chartreuse Oscars gown, how does her ruby-red dress rate?
