Salma Hayek In Alexander McQueen - Comic-Con 2014 'Everly' Presentation

Salma Hayek attended the ‘Everly’ presentation at Comic-Con International 2014 at the San Diego Convention Center on Friday (July 25).

The actress selected an Alexander McQueen Spring 2014 ensemble, which was significantly toned down from the lookbook styling.

Choosing to wear the black zipper dress partially unzipped at the neckline, she also nixed the belt and the more tribal trappings, including the stacks of gold arm cuffs and bangles.

Adding major height to her petite frame, Salma did show off the McQueen stacked buckle platforms, hers in black, to ensure some measure of edginess was still attached to the look.

Olivia Cooke In Paper London - Comic-Con 2014

Olivia Cooke returned to the red carpet in a big way, or should we say a bald way, as she attended Comic-Con International 2014 in San Diego, California on Friday (July 25). I barely recognized the lovely young British starlet without her auburn tresses, as she’s recently shaved off her hair for her upcoming role in ‘Me & Earl & the Dying Girl.’

‘Bates Motel’ Press Line: At the Hilton Bayfront hotel, the actress paired her Paper London black runner shorts with a white lace blouse and white bra, again reminding us that the sheer trend is staying put. Her metallic Aldo ‘Welchpool’ heels with black ankle strap added a shiny, galactic spin to the monochromatic look.

‘Bates Motel’ Party: Later in the day, Olivia made a quick change into a croc-embossed strapless Sally LaPointe Resort 2015 dress for ‘Playboy’ and A&E’s party. Even with her bronzed complexion, the light melon hue translated as a bit lacklustre—however, her Jimmy Choo ‘Ari’ silver pumps and Aldo ‘Bettola’ mirrored clutch were undoubtedly added to put some spark in her step.

Miroslava Duma Front Row @ Fall 2014 Couture Fashion Week 8

Miroslava Duma was a near-constant presence on the front row at Fall 2014 Couture Fashion Week in France this past week. The Russian style-setter showed a mild obsession for glorious capes and voluminous silhouettes which later made way for a trio of more feminine skirts and dresses—all perhaps a sign of the Paris weather, as well.

Look 1: At the Atelier Versace runway presentation, she bucked convention (being bold, body-con and beaded, as per Versace), she showed her curves via a geometric, tri-colour burgundy, black and white Tod’s Spring 2014 cape made casual via distressed, ripped and cuffed jeans and white pumps.

Lily Collins In Houghton - Chiltern Firehouse

Lily Collins was spotted en route to the Chiltern Firehouse in London, England on Saturday (July 12).

After attending the Chanel Fall 2014 Couture show earlier in the week, the ‘Love, Rosie’ actress continued her summer style rounds in a Houghton Resort 2014 mint silk skirt paired with a white blouse.

A dove-grey zipper blazer added structured edge to the breezy quality of the skirt, as did Casadei blue-grey suede pumps with silver patent leather piping. But I keep wondering if a more lighthearted sandal would have worked better here.

A slick updo and a gorgeous neon-watermelon lip certainly provided another edgy punch to the look.

Holland Roden In Paper London - 40th Annual Saturn Awards
Holland Roden was also at the 40th annual Saturn Awards, hosted on Thursday (June 26) at The Castaway in Burbank, California, where she joined Chloe Moretz.

The actress wore a Paper London Spring 2014 navy neoprene dress with side pockets paired with complementary Jerome C. Rousseau pumps.

While she looked beautiful from the neck up, especially with this blue tone against her alabaster skin and flame-red locks, I couldn’t get on board with the cut of the dress.

The asymmetric strap and off-the-shoulder detail rendered a bit strangely, and the fit of the pin-tucked bodice could have likely been improved. Do you agree?
