Rosamund Pike In Givenchy Couture – 2015 Oscars

Rosamund Pike In Givenchy - 2015 Oscars

Rosamund Pike was another lady in red at the 2015 Oscars, hosted at the Dolby Theatre on Sunday (February 22) in Hollywood, California.

I was delighted to see that the ‘Gone Girl’ Best Actress nominee continued her rise back to the top that we first saw at Friday’s Women in Film pre-Oscar party.

This vivacious crimson Givenchy Couture number created a visual spark on the red carpet with its dimensional, intricate embroidery sexily cinched in with a visible corset.

A front slit completed the gown’s sultry hourglass appeal and showed off her matching sandals.

Rosamund finished the sassy-elegant look in minimal fashion—dainty Lorraine Schwartz earrings, alongside a swept-back bun and barely-there rose-tinged makeup were all she needed.

Kerry Washington In Miu Miu – 2015 Oscars

Kerry Washington In Miu Miu - 2015 Oscars

Kerry Washington attended the 2015 Oscars, hosted at the Dolby Theatre on Sunday (February 22) in Hollywood, California.

As she wasn’t one of the nominees of the evening, the ‘Scandal’ actress dialled back the drama in a comfortably relaxed Miu Miu embroidered peplum gown.

The light champagne hue was lovely on her, with Fred Leighton floral strand earrings adding a much-needed punch to the more subtle look.

Still, the effect was more lacklustre than I would have wished for an evening such as the Academy Awards.

Zendaya Coleman In Vivienne Westwood – 2015 Oscars

Zendaya Coleman was also at the 2015 Oscars, held on Sunday (February 22) at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California.

She cut a statuesque profile in a Vivienne Westwood satiny off-white gown that featured the designer’s signature, period-inspired draped silhouette.

The off-the-shoulder detail, which fell into a sash at the back, created an elegant line with Chopard jewels also elevating the look.

While the dress was slightly mature for the young starlet, she attempted to add her own hip edge via a dreadlock-inspired ’do that ultimately nearly overwhelmed the more sophisticated—some may even say bridal—ensemble.

Felicity Jones In Alexander McQueen – 2015 Oscars

Felicity Jones In Alexander McQueen - 2015 Oscars

Felicity Jones attended the 2015 Oscars, hosted at the Dolby Theatre on Sunday (February 22) in Hollywood, California.

Having her own princess-charming moment, ‘The Theory of Everything’ actress and nominee donned an Alexander McQueen dove-grey ball gown.

The dress can only be described as a fairy tale with its structured, pearl-embellished bodice matched by the billowing folds of the pleated, satiny skirt.

An updo and naturally radiant makeup was the only way to go for such a statement ensemble.

She’s previously shown affection for selecting bold, if not hyper-voluminous silhouettes, and I love that she unapologetically and successfully carries off the extravagance of such a look.

Marion Cotillard In Christian Dior Couture – 2015 Oscars

Marion Cotillard, nominated for her work in ‘Two Days, One Night,’ attended the 2015 Oscars at the Dolby Theatre on Sunday (February 22) in Hollywood, California.

After her appearance at the 2015 Film Independent Spirit Awards in a Valentino boho gown, perhaps few will be surprised that she returned to Dior for the big night.

Her Christian Dior Spring 2014 Couture white gown with sweeping train conveyed a cloud of lightness with its veil of perforated latticework, punctuated by a mock cape and black paneling at the back.

Oozing her signature air of Parisian-chic sophistication, the French beauty finished the monochromatic look with a sleek updo and diamond statement earrings by Chopard.

Elegance personified for this face of Dior?
