Anya Taylor Joy In Miu Miu – Three Empire Awards

Anya Taylor-Joy won the award for Best Female Newcomer at the Three Empire awards on Sunday (March 19) in London.

As the starlet is not one to turn away from attention-grabbing, power looks, she glittered quite boldly in a Miu Miu gown encrusted with oversized silver paillettes.

With the simplicity of the wrap silhouette and the flouncy, feminine black bow, the piece was actually quite effortlessly fetching—despite the heavy-handed embellishment.

At first, I didn’t even notice her chunky silver platform heels. A more streamlined pair would have enhanced the sophisticated panache even more.

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge In Chanel, Jenny Packman, and Alexander McQueen – In Paris

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge was in Paris for a two-day stay over the weekend, arriving in the City of Light on Friday (March 17).

Look 1: This colourful tweed Chanel pleated dress was a chic way to make the rounds in Paris, with the bell sleeves and box pleats adding ladylike poise.

Look 2: Catherine opted to wear a longtime favoured designer of choice, Jenny Packham, for an embassy gala dinner. Although it may have appeared to be baby blue, the gown was actually a striking icy-silver hue. It featured a familiar silhouette, but the special flourish came in the dimensional floral embellishment for an enchanting finish.

Look 3: For a welcome reception at the British embassy on Friday, she wore a black Alexander McQueen textural dress in a fresh, ankle-grazing length with its modern elegance only heightened by her statement necklace.

America Ferrera In Stella Nolasco – The Human Rights Campaign Gala Dinner In LA

America Ferrera was honoured at the Human Rights Campaign’s gala dinner on Saturday (March 18) in LA with the HRC Ally for Equality Award, with Katy Perry also in attendance that evening.

Easy elegance was the order of the day with this Stella Nolasco Spring 2017 dress featuring navy-blue embroidery in something of a doily-inspired pattern.

What really enlivened the look, though, was America’s bright fuchsia styling—from her handbag to her lip stain and gemstone earrings.

The rush of colour was precisely what the dress needed.

Mandy Moore In Lela Rose – ‘This Is Us’ Panel On PaleyFest In LA

It was only a matter of time before Mandy Moore returned to her signature graceful style—and she did just that at the panel for ‘This Is Us’ at PaleyFest in LA on Saturday (March 18).

I don’t know about you, but I was completely charmed by this forest-green Lela Rose Fall 2017 ensemble that was the epitome of chic modernity.

The feminine, off-the-shoulder top with its pouf sleeves and black bow was beautifully balanced by the casual edge of structured, cropped trousers.

Her beauty look was on point, too, with the girly headband and glowingly fresh makeup echoing the sweet innocence of the outfit.

After a few more debatable looks, does this one land firmly in the ‘yes’ column for you?

Katy Perry In Rasario – The Human Rights Campaign Gala Dinner In LA

Katy Perry was at the Human Rights Campaign’s gala dinner on Saturday (March 18) in LA, where she accepted the HRC National Equality Award.

Despite her more rebellious, punk-rock ’do, the entertainer’s ensemble stayed mainly within the more sophisticated vein we’ve seen lately.

This Rasario Spring 2017 gown was a sleek option with a bolder nod to extravagance in the flurry of undulating black ruffles at the halter neckline.

Sets of coordinating diamond ear cuffs provided additional sparkle without getting in the way of those ruffles.

Allison Williams In Gabriela Hearst – Sun Valley Film Festival

Allison Williams was at the Sun Valley Film Festival ‘Rising Star Reception’ on Thursday (March 16) in Idaho.

The actress seems to be equally at home in hyper-feminine, graceful styles as well as more structured, menswear-inspired numbers.

Here, she opted for the latter, in a Gabriela Hearst Fall 2017 plaid suit.

When paired with a simple cream tank underneath, the ensemble with its long jacket and high-waist trousers had a chic nonchalance that boasted an undercurrent of interesting allure.

It’s a look you might imagine to be inspired by the all-American icon, actress Katharine Hepburn, who was known for her androgynous style.

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge In Catherine Walker – St. Patrick’s Day With The Irish Guards In London

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge was fully dressed in the colour of the day at the annual Irish Guards St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Friday (March 17) in London.

As we’d expect with a bespoke piece, her deep forest-green Catherine Walker coat fit her like a glove.

Additional sartorial beauty shone through with the coat dress’s dark contrast velvet collar and cuffs and military-inspired buttons, which she enlivened further with a shamrock pin and associated foliage.

Topping it off in final celebration to Ireland’s national colour, she tied the ensemble together with a matching green, sculptural hat for a look that didn’t skip a beat from her signature refined sophistication.
