Comic-Con 2015 Red Carpet Roundup

Comic con roundup
The star-studded Comic-Con 2015 weekend brought out a host of other bold names for the range of parties and panel discussions in San Diego, California.

Natalie Dormer: Attending the Screen Gems panel, the ‘Game of Thrones’ actress wore a Mary Katrantzou lamur guipure lace and jacquard midi dress with blue-green embroidered accents. I like how her ponytail adds a fresh, breezy note to this darker look, but I have no words for the shoes that should have been a simple black or blue sandal if nothing else. You may remember that Shailene Woodley wore the same dress a few months ago.

Sarah Paulson: Fusing femininity with structure, this Suno cutout flared black dress was a successful look for Sarah at the Entertainment Weekly Comic-Con 2015 party. I was equally delighted to see her step outside the plain-black box with accessories including a silver Edie Parker clutch and silver Aldo shoes.

Kate Mara: Also joining the dark colour parade, Kate wore an embellished Valentino Fall 2015 design at the 20th Century Fox panel discussion. She let the mini dress shine all on its own with only minimal styling including a simple pair of black sandals and a few beaded bracelets, which I would argue were unnecessary too.

Solange Knowles In Barbara Casasola – Kiehl’s Pioneers by Nature Program Launch

Solange Knowles In Barbara Casasola - Kiehl's Pioneers by Nature Program Launch

Solange Knowles attended and acted as DJ at the Kiehl’s Pioneers by Nature program launch, hosted at the Kiehl’s Regent Street store in London, England on Friday (July 9).

In the spirit of relaxed glamour, she wore a Barbara Casasola Spring 2015 sunset-hued dress with an eye-catching metallic plissé skirt.

She styled the look with Tom Ford chartreuse sandals and jewels by Annalise Michelson and Monica Vinader.

The colour of the shoes was an interesting counterpoint, but where she really lost me was her makeup. I wish she had matched her shoes to her dress instead of her intense metallic-orange eye shadow.

Emma Roberts In Awaveawake, Line and Dot, Tanya Taylor & 3.1 Phillip Lim – Comic-Con 2015

Emma Roberts has also been among the starlets making the rounds at Comic-Con 2015 in San Diego, California over the weekend, where she has been promoting ‘Scream Queens’ alongside Lea Michele and Keke Palmer.

20th Century Fox Party: Her first stop at the Andaz Hotel on Friday (July 10) saw Emma wearing a Awaveawake silk slip dress in a lavender hue that was lovely against her creamy complexion. While it did nod to a boudoir-inspired dressing gown, the look was appropriately kept out of the bedroom with elevated styling that included a metallic gold M2Malletier mini ‘Fabricca’ clutch, Kurt Geiger London ‘Maia’ sandals, and sleek platinum tresses.

: The next day, she headed to Petco Park in a more playful frock, donning a flirty, fit-and-flair Line and Dot ‘Bisous’ off-the-shoulder dress. I love how she added the pop of a red pair of sandals and a sassy, modern fishtail side braid.

Elizabeth Debicki In Roland Mouret – ‘The Man from U.N.C.L.E’ Comic-Con Panel & Entertainment Weekly’s Annual Comic-Con Party

Elizabeth Debicki In Roland Mouret - 'The Man from uncle Comic-Con Panel & Entertainment Weekly's Annual Comic-Con Party
Elizabeth Debicki joined Alicia Vikander at both ‘The Man from U.N.C.L.E.’ Comic-Con 2015 panel at the San Diego Convention Center and Entertainment Weekly’s Annual Comic-Con Party, held at FLOAT at The Hard Rock Hotel, on Saturday (July 11) in San Diego, California.

‘The Man from U.N.C.L.E.’ Panel
: The actress cut a sharp profile in a Roland Mouret Pre-Fall 2015 asymmetrical dress that stood out for its geometric appeal and bright blue wrap-front paneling. She styled the look minimally with black sandals and barely-there makeup for an effortless finish.

Entertainment Weekly’s Annual Comic-Con Party
: Turning up the volume by a notch, she again wore a Roland Mouret Pre-Fall 2015 design paired with Jennifer Meyer jewels. While the signature asymmetry was still in play, the gown was my favourite of the two looks for its fiery, bold red hue and the structured yet still feminine allure.

Zendaya Coleman In Lie Sangbong – 4th Annual BeautyCon Los Angeles Festival

Zendaya Coleman In Lie Sangbong - 4th Annual BeautyCon Los Angeles Festival

Zendaya Coleman attended the 4th annual BeautyCon Los Angeles Festival, presented by Cosmopolitan, Seventeen, and Cosmopolitan for Latina, on Saturday (July 11) in Los Angeles, California.

With her long locks fully restored after her cropped wig at the BET Awards, she donned a Lie Sangbong Spring 2015 ensemble.

While I always look forward to seeing what Zendaya delivers on the red carpet, this outfit seemed a bit dated for the young starlet.

Perhaps it was the jacket and the white pumps that sent the look over the edge, so I was glad to see that the sky-blue colours at least contributed a fresh flair.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup
While Paris Couture Fashion Week has directed much attention to the looks of the City of Light, a few good men have captured attention outside of Paris, France.

Tom Hiddleston: The British actor was the ultimate sartorial show-off at day nine of the Wimbledon Tennis Championships at Wimbledon on Wednesday (July 8) in London, England. He was at the height of handsomeness in his Ralph Lauren Purple Label three-piece navy suit perfectly paired with a light-blue striped dress shirt. A straw hat, which he also wore, only added to the laid-back yet polished charisma of the look.

Channing Tatum: Showing the slight evidence of scruff, the actor wore several shades of grey to the ‘Magic Mike XXL’ premiere in Sydney, Australia on Monday (July 6) in a Dolce & Gabbana three-piece suit. While he always manages to maintain his fine profile, this ensemble fell to more lacklustre territory in comparison to some of his other promo tour looks thus far.
