Natalie Dormer In Naeem Khan – 2015 SAG Awards

Natalie Dormer In Naeem Khan - 2015 SAG Awards

Natalie Dormer returned to the red carpet for the 2015 SAG Awards tonight (January 25) at The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California.

We haven’t seen much of ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1’ actress since the promo tour for that movie, but she made a vibrant return in a Naeem Khan Spring 2015 one-shoulder gown that was splashed across with a painterly, multi-coloured pattern of florals.

Perhaps trying to usher in the spring season, merely by virtue of her dress, she accessorized with Kimberly McDonald jewels and a long, crimped mane.

Despite the cheerful print, I was still left a bit underwhelmed. Maybe a sleeker ’do or a bold lip would have done the trick.

Keira Knightley In Erdem – 2015 SAG Awards

Keira Knightley In Erdem - 2015 SAG Awards

Keira Knightley attended the 2015 SAG Awards, hosted at The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California on Sunday (January 25).

Again opting out of a Chanel design, ‘The Imitation Game’ actress and nominee put a bolt of more intense colour into her red-carpet maternity style game with an Erdem gown in a rich, jewel-toned shade of purple.

Featuring layers of exploded eyelet lace, shoulder ties, and sheer paneling at the bodice, the dress had Keira’s name written all over it with its breezy, bohemian vibe, which she further echoed with her wavy locks and unique ear cuff.

Was the bolder colour enough for you to get excited about Keira’s look here, or are you still waiting for a more memorable effort?

Camila Alves In Donna Karan Atelier – 2015 SAG Awards

Camila Alves In Donna Karan Atelier - 2015 SAG Awards

Camila Alves commanded attention on the red carpet of the 2015 SAG Awards on Sunday (January 25) at The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California.

Working an aubergine Donna Karan gown to perfection, she blew me away with this outing. The strapless design glided over her curves, with the draped detailing and side train delivering an enticing sense of drama.

This is a perfect example of the difference that colour can make. The power of this eggplant hue is significant, whereas the same gown in black would have not had nearly the same impact.

The minimal styling also took the look to the next level; simple diamond earrings and an Aldo clutch, along with sun-touched makeup and side-parted locks enhanced rather than competed with the dress, while showcasing Camila’s natural beauty.

J’adore.

Julianna Margulies In Giambattista Valli Couture – 2015 SAG Awards

Julianna Margulies In Giambattista Valli Couture - 2015 SAG Awards

Julianna Margulies swept onto the red carpet of the 2015 SAG Awards held at The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California on Sunday (January 25).

‘The Good Wife’ actress and SAG nominee joined the evening’s bold-colour brigade by wearing one of my favourite red-carpet hues.

The saturated cobalt-blue Giambattista Valli Spring 2014 Couture gown was without its original, black top, which I didn’t necessarily miss. But I did long for the polished drama of the runway’s draped full skirt, which translated more clumsily on the red carpet.

A Salvatore Ferragamo clutch, Jimmy Choo ‘Lucille’ black sandals and Fred Leighton jewels finished out the look.

The colour had me at hello, especially with Julianna’s jet-black locks; yet I wanted to say goodbye to the more messy silhouette of this dress from the waist down.

Emmy Rossum In Armani Privé – 2015 SAG Awards

Emmy Rossum In Armani Privé - 2015 SAG Awards 2

Emmy Rossum made a glittering entrance at the 2015 SAG Awards on Sunday (January 25) when she took to the red carpet at The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California.

The actress wore an Armani Privé Spring 2014 look that radiated with a subtle shimmer from every angle. Embroidered with Swarovski crystals, the top and full gold skirt were overlaid with grey crinoline lace for a dimensional, enchanted effect.

A diamond necklace added even more sparkle to the look for good measure. But the take-your-breath-away gown was a jewel piece in its own right, so it could have certainly stood on its own.

A loosely pulled-back updo and a beautiful smokey eye contributed a smoldering touch to this striking, fairytale statement.

Joanne Froggatt In Honor – 2015 SAG Awards

Joanne Froggatt In Honor - 2015 SAG Awards

Joanne Froggatt glided onto the red carpet of the 2015 SAG Awards, hosted at The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California on Sunday evening (January 25).

Having just attended Entertainment Weekly’s party for Screen Actors Guild nominees yesterday, the ‘Downton Abbey’ star exchanged colour-block boldness for all-black elegance.

The sophistication of this Honor mermaid gown, which flares into a dramatic full-skirt and train, cannot be denied. And she has accessorized the look perfectly with a subtle Ferragamo clutch, Stuart Weitzman heels, and some well-placed sparkle via Jacob & Co. jewels.

Keeping her décolletage sans necklace was her best decision here, what with the architecture of the gown’s pointed bodice.

Sideswept blonde waves and a smokey eye put a modern spin on this fine example of old Hollywood glamour.
