Odeya Rush In Georges Hobeika Couture - 'The Giver' New York Premiere

Odeya Rush joined Taylor Swift at the New York premiere of ‘The Giver’ on Monday (Aug. 11) at the Ziegfeld Theatre.

Also fresh in from the Teen Choice Awards in Los Angeles, the young actress likewise echoed the apparent colour of the night—red.

In keeping with her glamorous mode the night before, she donned a floor-sweeping, scarlet gown with an embellished bodice from the Georges Hobeika Fall 2014 Couture collection, which was an elegant and impactful choice.

Not taking the look too seriously, though, she brought a youthful flair back with her well-exaggerated cat eye and a berry-pink lip, along with an intricately braided updo.

Do you like her second red dress in as many days?

Taylor Swift In Monique Lhuillier - 'The Giver' New York Premiere
Taylor Swift crisscrossed coasts in the span of 24 hours, as she swept onto the scene in New York for the premiere of ‘The Giver,’ held at the Ziegfeld Theatre on Monday (August 11).

After impressing on Sunday night at the 2014 Teen Choice Awards in Los Angeles with her charming two-piece ensemble, the starlet turned up the volume of sophistication in a gown, perfectly coordinated to the red carpet.

Plucked from Monique Lhuillier’s Resort 2015 collection, the colour-blocked design with its architectural silhouette and full draped skirt was a departure from her more sparkling, embellished style endeavors—and a welcome one at that.

She certainly has the model-esque height to pull off a gown of these proportions.

In keeping with the more directional vibe of the dress, she coaxed her long bob into a deep side-parted wave and wore a sizzling shade of crimson lip lacquer to echo the boldness of that cat-eye.

I do find myself wishing for a different shoe, though. The nude suede Casadei pumps fall flat, when this dress could have done well with a statement sandal. Ignoring that, this is a great, fresh look for her.

Marion Cotillard In Christian Dior - 'Two Days, One Night

Marion Cotillard walked the red carpet at the ‘Two Days, One Night’ London premiere, hosted at Somerset House in England on Thursday (August 7).

The French actress was unsurprisingly dressed in Christian Dior with this LBD hailing from the Fall 2014 collection.

The draped, cold-shoulder silhouette with floral embellishment radiated with soft elegance—even more subtle given that the design was missing the sassier corset-inspired lacing.

Dior metal-accented statement heels added a bit of edge, while a wispy updo and berry lip were quiet finishes for this sophisticated yet pretty look.

Michelle Obama In Prabal Gurung - US African Leaders Summit

Michelle Obama made a bright showing at a White House state dinner, hosted by President Obama for African leaders on Tuesday (August 5),

She once again pledged allegiance to her love of Prabal Gurung, wearing a look from the Nepalese designer’s Resort 2013 collection.

The radiant canary-yellow, silk chiffon frock with ruffle straps was shortened to tea length and featured a modified bodice from the lookbook, transforming the original gown into a more event-appropriate dress.

She emboldened the bold, nearly neon ensemble even more with the addition of an armful of bangles, statement earrings and the debut of a trendy, sleek topknot.

Her modest metallic pumps were the most standard piece of this look—not that anyone was paying attention to her shoes.

Did she maintain her first lady of fashion title here?

Christina Hendricks In Vivienne Westwood - 'God's Pocket' London Premiere
Christina Hendricks attended the premiere of ‘God’s Pocket,’ held at BFI Southbank on Monday (August 4) in London, England.

The actress clad her curves in a Vivienne Westwood Gold Label Resort 2014 multi-colour striped, silk taffeta dress.

The boldness of the stripes did slightly downplay the otherwise figure-enhancing, classic silhouette, which featured a draped neckline and nipped-in waist.

Sporting a rather retro updo and adding the pop of a berry lip, Christina matched the metallic sheen of the frock with a metal-accented Stark clutch and shiny bronze Jimmy Choo heels, which thankfully weren’t black pumps.

Although the taffeta perhaps doesn’t translate the best in photos, it’s nice to see her embracing a vibrant palette to complement her flame-red locks. What do you think of her latest look?

Taylor Schilling In Roland Mouret - SiriusXM Studios

Taylor Schilling visited the SiriusXM Studios in New York City on Thursday (July 31).

The ‘Orange is the New Black’ actress couldn’t have looked more chic in a Roland Mouret ‘Cassida’ dress from the Pre-Fall 2014 collection.

The surprising mix of bold cobalt blue, pink and melon-orange hues, along with a white silhouette-enhancing waistband, was a delightful riff on colour-blocking.

Of course, the frock had all of the body-con sleekness and asymmetric detailing for which the designer is also known.

She styled the look beautifully with Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ blue sandals and matching sapphire eye shadow, along with loose waves.

You may recall that Blake Lively wore the same Roland Mouret dress in her recent ‘Vogue’ video.
