Cate Blanchett In Fausto Puglisi - 'The Hobbit The Battle Of The Five Armies' Comic-Con 2014 Press Line
Cate Blanchett was at ‘The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies’ press line, hosted at the Hilton Bayfront hotel during Comic-Con International 2014 in San Diego, California on Saturday (July 26).

I have to say that I could barely believe my eyes when I saw Cate; it’s like some particularly heinous comic-book villains stole her sophisticated style.

This Fausto Puglisi Resort 2015 dress, worn with Roger Vivier black pumps, was many shades of wrong—from the pink to the pleats, and from the boxy T-shirt sleeves to the satin detailing.

Better to not dwell on what could be her most disappointing look ever.

I have complete faith that Cate will be recovered in no time and back to her regal red-carpet ways.

Nina Dobrev In J Mendel, Naeem Khan Comic-Con 2014 & Entertainment Weekly's Annual Comic-Con Celebration

Nina Dobrev was also in the star-studded mix at Comic-Con International 2014 in San Diego, California, making no fewer than four appearances during the weekend.

20th Century Fox Press Line: She kick-started her Comic-Con style on Friday with a J. Mendel Resort 2015 ensemble, consisting of a sheer white blouse with black necktie and a cerulean blue fit-and-flare skirt. Styled with a large Fendi dual-tone silver and black tote bag, along with Giorgio Armani cap-toe pumps and Jacob & Co. rose-gold safety-pin earrings, the effect was schoolgirl-sweet mixed with sassy edge.

CraveOnline Presents: Crave Conquers the Con: Later that day, ‘The Vampire Diaries’ starlet was on the blue carpet at the USS Midway. Rocking the same voluminous waves, she changed into a bright Naaem Khan Spring 2014 dress with painterly, multi-colour stripes that were only emboldened by her Oscar Tiye yellow pumps. Jacob & Co jewels were also applied here.

Gwendoline Christie In Giles & Peter Pilotto - Comic-Con 2014 & Entertainment Weekly's Annual Comic-Con Celebration
Gwendoline Christie was also in attendance at Comic-Con 2014 in San Diego, California, where she made two completely different style statements over the weekend.

‘Game of Thrones’ Panel: At Friday’s event at the San Diego Convention Center, the British actress again wore one of her favourite designers, Giles Deacon, flaunting a Giles Resort 2015 A-line frock—sans the lookbook peplum. The indigo tie-dyed print followed suit with the whimsical punchiness of the collection, but Gwendoline made the dress all her own via glam, old-Hollywood styling. With her platinum-blonde retro waves, coral-red lip and metallic gold sandals, she was nothing short of a mod Marilyn Monroe.

Entertainment Weekly’s Annual Comic-Con Celebration: For Saturday’s party at the Hard Rock Hotel, she switched out of her Marilyn-esque mood, instead cladding her statuesque frame in a Peter Pilotto Fall 2014 gem-embellished top and skirt, which was made appropriate for summer with the removal of the sleeves. She and Vera Farmiga were evidently drinking from the same Pilotto Kool-Aid, yet this pink hue wouldn’t be my first choice for Gwendoline.

Rosario Dawson In Narciso Rodriguez - Comic-Con 2014

Rosario Dawson attended the ‘Sin City: A Dame to Kill For’ panel during Comic-Con International 2014 on Saturday (July 26) at the San Diego Convention Center in California.

Flaunting simple yet chic styling, she wore a dark-green Narciso Rodriguez fitted dress with a loose cape-style back—for that sophisticated, superhero touch, of course.

Colour-block white and black Bionda Castana ‘Elisabetta ‘ sandals and a light smattering of jewels completed the look. Her still half-shaven ’do obviously provided the edginess here—business on one side, party on the other.

Sophie Turner In Tata Naka & Matthew Williamson - Comic-Con 2014 & Entertainment Weekly's Annual Comic-Con Celebration

Sophie Turner attended Comic-Con 2014 in San Diego, California, where the ‘Game of Thrones’ actress opted for two playful looks over the weekend.

‘Game of Thrones’ Panel: Alphabet soup was the name of her style game on Friday. Her multi-coloured Tata Naka Spring 2014 jumpsuit spoke volumes with its bold, graphic letter prints. Fellow young starlet Maisie Williams, who plays her sister on the show, couldn’t have been more differently dressed in a charming Alice + Olivia textured, metallic-bronze shift dress, paired with black furry Sophia Webster sandals.

Entertainment Weekly’s Annual Comic-Con Celebration: Wearing the same black heels from the day before, Sophie switched up the rest of her look in a Matthew Williamson Fall 2014 black frock featuring a swatch of baby-blue printed paneling at the skirt. I keep wondering if that bright red lip may have been better suited to her jumpsuit, though.

Holland Roden In Jay Godfrey, Opening Ceremony & Haney - Comic-Con 2014 Entertainment Weekly's Annual Comic-Con Celebration

After her first outing at San Diego’s Comic-Con 2014 on Thursday, Holland Roden was back on the red carpet not once, not twice, but three times, over the weekend.

‘Bates Motel’ Party: Make a sizzling entrance at the ‘Playboy’ and A&E party on Friday, the actress wore a red lace Jay Godfrey dress with matching platform pumps and a metallic Kotur clutch. The flirty silhouette was sweet, but the sheer detailing assured a sexier flair. However, despite the hot red colour, the look fell a bit flat with her messy ’do and undetectable makeup.

‘Teen Wolf’ Panel: Switching to a far more subtle look, Holland was pretty in a deep teal, printed skater dress by Opening Ceremony. Here, the more unkempt updo worked in her favour.

Entertainment Weekly’s Annual Comic-Con Celebration: Polishing off her trio of looks with a Haney plunge jumpsuit with opaque mesh netting, the actress worked a mannish vampy vibe for Saturday’s party at the Hard Rock Hotel. With her flame locks slicked into a ponytail and her bold red lip, this had just the right amount of drama and was my favourite of the three. A gold Rodo clutch completed her look.
