Lupita Nyong’o In Jonathan Cohen – GREY GOOSE Presents ’12 Years A Slave’ Dinner

Lupita Nyong'o In Jonathan Cohen - GREY GOOSE Presents 12 Years A Slave Dinner

Luptia Nyong’o rounded off her busy awards season party schedule at the Grey Goose ’12 Years a Slave Dinner’ last night (March 1) at Sunset Tower in West Hollywood, California.

In her final outing before the all-important Oscars, Lupita chose to wear a gloriously colourful Jonathan Cohen Fall 2014 dress. The red, blue-and-white abstract shattered mirror and lipstick print long-sleeve number was simple in cut but impactful thanks to Luptia’s striking figure.

To finish, the best supporting actress nominee chose a sparkling blue Edie Parker clutch, complementary bright red pumps and Dana Rebecca Designs jewellery for a delightfully polished, but possibly not her strongest, look.

Chanel Charles Finch Pre-Oscar Dinner

Chanel And Charles Finch Pre-Oscar Dinner 3

There are fewer events more chic than Chanel’s annual pre-Oscar dinner co-hosted by Charles Finch. A host of glamorous stars celebrated an evening of fashion and film at Madeo in Beverly Hills, California, last night (March 1).

Emilia Clarke: ‘Game of Thrones’ actress Emilia Clarke dazzled at the event in a white boucle dress with silver sequin strips and light blue and yellow tweed. Her hair swept up over into a sleek quiff really suite Emilia and added a youthful spin. While the silver Manolo Blahnik sandals kept the look crisp and fresh, the white quilted Chanel clutch was a too big for my liking.

Naomie Harris: Looking radiant in a black tweed dress with dusky pink cap sleeves, Naomie Harris wowed at last night’s dinner. The dress was a great fit for Naomie and also offered a more ladylike change of pace to her usual sassy red carpet style. To finish, Naomie opted for a great chic pair of sandals and her sleek hair and rose tinted lip colour were just perfection. Naomie’s Chanel outing at the pre-BAFTA party wasn’t her strongest, how do you feel this one compares?

Anne Hathaway: Anne Hathaway has been switching up her style recently which is something I’ve really welcomed but last night she returned to her former signature style of a feminine shift dress and heels combo. Wearing a skater style black Chanel dress with lace insert, she added a bold red lip for some welcome drama. Anne styled the simple look with black Salvatore Ferragamo pointed-toe heels with straps which certainly added edge but I feel Anne could have opted for an altogether more commanding look, and one that suited her cool quiff.

Laura Vandervoort In Laura Vandervoort In Halston Heritage & Paule Ka – Canada’s Stars Of the Awards Season & Vanity Fair Campaign Hollywood Event

Laura Vandervoort In Laura Vandervoort In Halston Heritage & Paule Ka - Canada's Stars Of the Awards Season & Vanity Fair Campaign Hollywood Event

Laura Vandervoort may be a relative newbie but she’s wowing like a pro on the red carpet. So far she has mastered awards ceremony glamour in Rachel Gilbert and masculine tux dressing in BCBG Max Azria. And this week she’s offered up to new looks to add to her roster of hits…

Canada’s Stars Of the Awards Season: Attending Canada’s Stars of the Awards Season on Thursday (February 27) in Los Angeles, California, Laura offered her take on cocktail dressing in a revealing Halston Heritage blue strapless dress. With on-trend and modern metallic accessories in the form of a Kotur clutch and Oscar Tiye pointed heels, the look was fresh and feminine and suited Laura’s amazing figure to a tee.

Vanity Fair Campaign Hollywood Event: The following evening Laura mixed up her look once again as she attended the Vanity Fair Campaign Hollywood event held at Sadie Kitchen & Lounge in Los Angeles. Wearing a Paule Ka Resort 2013 black sleeveless textured vinyl button-up top and ladylike satin full skirt, this was feminine dressing for the modern day. With a chic top-knot and a welcome hit of red lippy, Laura topped off this great look with a simple clutch and simple yet sexy sandals. While her blue Halston Heritage dress the previous night was equally as feminine, this look feels so much more unique and fresh. Do you agree?

Kate Hudson In Elisabetta Franchi – Madeo Restaurant

Kate Hudson In Elisabetta Franchi - Madeo Restaurant

Kate Hudson swapped the pre-Oscar parties in favour of a lavish meal at West Hollywood’s celebrity hotspot Madeo Restaurant on Saturday night (March 1).

Despite not actually attending a red carpet event, Kate still dressed the part in a red long-sleeved jumpsuit with sheer detailing from the Elisabetta Franchi Spring 2014 collection.

With understated peep toe shoes and a small clutch, Kate kept things simple to let the structured all-in-one do the talking. And it’s really paid off.

And with her long blonde locks flowing, Kate looked fabulously radiant and effortlessly glamorous.

I know the actresses’ recent Emilio Pucci look garnered quite positive feedback, so how do you think this one compares?

Freida Pinto In Pankaj and Nidhi – Plan International Deutschland Celebrates 25 Years Anniversary

Freida Pinto In Pankaj and Nidhi - Plan International Deutschland Celebrates 25 Years Anniversary

Freida Pinto attended the Plan International Deutschland 25 Year Celebrations in Hamburg, Germany, on Saturday (March 1).

The forever flawless actress looked her usual radiant self in a red and black printed shift dress with sheer hem detailing by Pankaj and Nidhi.

The look was simple and refined which Freida complemented with a chic bun and a heavy slick of eyeliner.

Freida’s fabulous box clutch with glorious tassle was a great addition but for me the shoes fell a little flat. The Salvatore Ferragamo patent midi wedges are eternally classic and chic but I think a high pair of heels would have much sassier.

While this look doesn’t exactly excite me, it is ever so feminine and pretty which is everything I’d from this eternally well turned-out star.
