Naomi Watts In Balenciaga – 2015 SAG Awards

Naomi Watts hit the red carpet at Sunday’s (January 25) 2015 SAG Awards, hosted at the Los Angeles Shrine Auditorium.

Naomi is a pro at selecting beautiful gowns, and her choice of Balenciaga was, no surprise, a red carpet stunner. What I love most about the ‘St. Vincent’ nominee’s choice, is that instead of opting to play it safe and wear black, she went with navy, which is arguably the cool girl’s dark hue of the moment.

The simple column silhouette looked fantastic on Naomi’s petite frame, and the off-the-shoulder textured detail added an element of surprise.

Naomi punctuated her gown with a honeycomb metallic clutch and jewels by Bvlgari.

This is a winning look if I’ve ever seen one.

Reese Witherspoon In Giorgio Armani – 2015 SAG Awards

Reese Witherspoon In Giorgio Armani - 2015 SAG Awards

Reese Witherspoon graced the red carpet at the 2015 Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday (January 25) in L.A., hosted at the Shrine Auditorium.

The ‘Wild’ star look radiant in a custom Giorgio Armani gown. The white one-shoulder design with matte sequin detailing along the neckline was a lovely pick for the actress.

White is often a difficult colour to pull off, but Reese did so flawlessly. The nominee accessorized with drop earrings, a cocktail ring, and bracelet compliments of Tiffany & Co. and Harry Winston.

Opting to go with a dramatic side part ponytail and bold lip colour was an effortless beauty pairing that meshed well with the white gown.

Andrea Riseborough In Escada – 2015 SAG Awards

Andrea Riseborough attended Sunday’s (January 25) 2015 SAG Awards, hosted at the Los Angeles Shrine Auditorium.

The ‘Birdman’ actress stayed true to her love of green hues and wore a sea green version of an Escada Pre-Fall 2015 design with a Swarovski clutch.

After such red carpet success like this metallic and feather design, it’s a disappointment to see the ‘Birdman’ actress looking not her best in this gown.

I can appreciate Andrea’s bold choice with an unusual colour and architectural bow detail at the halter neckline, but I wish the gown was enhancing versus masking her figure.

I applaud Andrea’s tricky and brave style choice–that’s what fashion is all about, after all–but I don’t love the end result. What’s your take?

Julianne Moore In Givenchy Couture – 2015 SAG Awards

Julianne Moore In Givenchy Couture - 2015 SAG Awards 2

Julianne Moore glowed, per usual, on the red carpet on Sunday (January 25) at the 2015 Screen Actors Guild Awards, hosted at the Los Angeles Shrine Auditorium.

I’m a big fan of Julianne’s sartorial choices–she always manages to look flawless and modern with her constant lean towards interesting details and shapes. And her SAG Awards choice of Givenchy Couture was no different.

The rich emerald hue looked impeccable against Julianne’s porcelain skin and fiery locks. The simple silhouette allowed for the beading, which gave the gown some movement, to take center stage–err, red carpet.

Julianne punctuated her red carpet style with jewels by Chopard jewels in the form of circular purple stone earrings and a stack of glittery rings.

Gretchen Mol In Dennis Basso – 2015 SAG Awards

Gretchen Mol glowed on Sunday (January 25) at the 2015 Screen Actors Guild Awards, hosted at the Los Angeles Shrine Auditorium.

The ‘Boardwalk Empire’ star floated down the red carpet in a Dennis Basso Pre-Fall 2015 gown.

The actress looked feminine without appearing too saccharine in a silver-grey confection of chiffon dotted with sparkly accents and fluttery bell-shaped sleeves.

Gretchen rounded out her SAG style with an equally sparkly Edie Parker clutch, Christian Louboutin shoes, and Solange Azagury Patridge jewels.

This look is perfectly chic with just enough sparkle, and I think the actress was sartorially wise to let the gown do the talking and keep accessories simple.
