Jessica Chastain In Givenchy Couture – 2015 Oscars

Jessica Chastain In Givenchy - 2015 Oscars

Jessica Chastain walked red carpet on Sunday (February 22) at the 2015 Oscars, hosted at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre.

Clad in Givenchy, the ‘Interstellar’ star and presenter for the evening looked radiant in gem-toned navy.

The hourglass figure-hugging gown was a combination of elegance and sex appeal with a thigh-high slit and modest train. The sparkly bodice was softened with a contrasting sweeping sash of fabric.

Her fiery locks were glossy and straight and makeup neutral with a cat eye, both which allowed her gown to take center stage.

Gwyneth Paltrow In Ralph & Russo Couture – 2015 Oscars

Gwyneth Paltrow In Ralph & Russo Couture - 2015 Oscars

Gwyneth Paltrow graced the red carpet on Sunday (February 22) at the 2015 Oscars, hosted at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre.

The presenter and ’Mortdecai’ star wore Ralph & Russo Spring 2015 Couture.

Gwyneth looked elegant in a one-shouldered blush pink gown with an oversized rose detail on the shoulder. As usual, the actresses looked fantastic, but I wish she had opted for the more dramatic runway version of the gown, because she has the strong red carpet presence and fashion sense to pull it off.

Nevertheless, Gwyneth’s uber-feminine style was a breath of fresh spring-like air on the red carpet. And her super sleek hair and oversized berry-hued and diamond-encrusted drop earrings were a welcome dose of wow-factor.

Cate Blanchett In Maison Margiela Couture – 2015 Oscars

Cate Blanchett In Martin Margiela - 2015 Oscars_

Cate Blanchett graced the red carpet on Sunday (February 22) at the 2015 Oscars, hosted at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre.

The red carpet maven wore an unusually less-is-more style versus her typical wild card choices, but the Maison Margiela Couture design – created by John Galliano – looked sleek and effortless on the actress.

The high-neck column gown had a slight train with unfinished hem lines on the sleeves for a romantic feathered effect. Cate looked elegant and at ease in the gown, which she amped up with a bold turquoise floral bib necklace by Tiffany & Co. that beautifully mirrored the color of her eyes, making the jewels stand out even more.

As for beauty, Cate looked ethereal with a voluminous back-swept style, slightly smudgy eye colour and a nude-pink shade on her lips.

Do you love Cate’s unusually simple fashion choice, or wish she’d wore a statement-making gown like we’ve come to expect from her?

Chloe Grace Moretz In Miu Miu – 2015 Oscars

Chloe Grace Moretz In Miu Miu - 2015 Oscars

Chloe Grace Moretz walked the red carpet on Sunday (February 22) at the 2015 Oscars at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.

A presenter for the evening’s festivities, Chloe wore a design by Miu Miu.

Chloe is emerging into a style star who loves to take risks and try new design elements, which I applaud her for–what better way to develop a style as a young actress than try anything and everything. But I am sorry to say I’m on the fence with her Oscars red carpet choice.

The champagne and peach floral gown is lovely and soft in colour palette, but the embellished hip silhouette is not my favorite fashion risk Chloe has taken. The extra volume around the middle of the gown is reminiscent of an 1800’s fashion that may be too couture to translate on the red carpet. Though, I love that Chloe took the risk, which is part of the fun in fashion.

Chloe’s hair was perfectly simple to complement her gown, and the light pink lip was a girly contrast against her edgy diamond ear cuff.

What’s your take on Chloe’s style?

Naomi Watts In Armani Privé – 2015 Oscars

Naomi Watts In Armani Privé - 2015 Oscars

Naomi Watts walked the red carpet on Sunday (February 22) at the 2015 Oscars, hosted at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre.

Decked out in Armani Prive, the ‘Birdman’ star and presenter for the evening went for a typically Naomi-like bold style.

Naomi is a red carpet star and her Academy Awards gown of choice proves yet again that she’s able to take fashion risks and pull it off gracefully.

A black, white and gray pattern that semi-resembled bricks looked graphic and fresh when worn by the actress. The halter neckline had beautifully delicate straps and the black, beaded cutout along the sides of the gown proved to be a modern and chic take on the cutout trend.

Naomi added glamour to her contemporary style with oversized inky-blue and diamond drop earrings and a black Rauwolf clutch. Soft waves and a deep berry lip topped off the look in perfection.
