Kirsten-Dunst-In-Rodarte-2014-Met-Gala

Kirsten Dunst made a definite statement on the red carpet at the 2014 Met Gala on Monday (May 5) in New York City.

Ever since these Star Wars-themed gowns made their way down the runway at fashion week, everyone has wondered if and when they would show up again, and now we have our answer.

Kirsten rocked the Death Star-printed gown from Rodarte’s Fall 2014 collection.

I’m sure there are plenty of people who find this ridiculous, but I absolutely love that Kirsten went with this dress. It’s mirthful, has a gorgeous silhouette, and if there’s anywhere you can make it work, it’s at the Met Gala!

A dark smokey eye, red lips and deeply side-parted updo complete Kristen’s look.

So, what do you think? Totally fun, or totally wrong?

Chloe Sevigny In Kenzo - 2014 Met Gala

Chloe Sevigny offered a pop of color on the red carpet at the 2014 Met Gala on Monday (May 5) in New York City.

The fashion risk-taker wore a striking Kenzo gown accented with a funky chartreuse clutch.

Her gown is both striking and fun, and is actually almost ‘safe’ when it comes to Chloe’s usual fashion playbook.

The bright colour and graphic lines are totally eye-catching, and I just so wish that her hair wasn’t so completely blah.

Chloe stayed within her comfort zone of very minimalist makeup, and the slight punch of orangey-red lipstick is a great finishing touch.

Selena-Gomez-In-Diane-von-Furstenberg-2014-Met-Gala

Selena Gomez struck a sleek silhouette on the red carpet at the 2014 Met Gala on Monday (May 5) in New York City.

The singer and actress wore a sleek custom Diane von Furstenberg gown, which she accented with dramatic Lorraine Schwartz earrings and cocktail ring.

There is something to be said for being 21, and that something is the body of a 21-year-old. The beautiful, body-hugging fabric on this dress is anything but forgiving, but Selena looks like a total knock-out.

Lashes for days, a bright berry lip and a chic in the front, intricate in the back updo complete this killer ensemble.

What say you? Are you as much of a fan of this look on Selena as I am?

Hayden-Panettiere-In-Dennis-Basso-2014-Met-Gala

Hayden Panettiere looked delighted to be a part of the red carpet fashion parade at the 2014 Met Gala on Monday (May 5) in New York City.

The actress wore a water-colored inspired Dennis Basso gown from the designer’s Spring 2014 collection.

While such a voluminous gown could have overpowered the pint-sized star, Hayden pulls this dress off beautifully.

The colors and print are refreshing and ladylike, and the slightly messy updo and fresh makeup look fresh and young.

Leighton-Meester-In-Emilio-Pucci-2014-Met-Gala

Leighton Meester rocked a gilded look as she made her way down the red carpet at the 2014 Met Gala on Monday (May 5) in New York City.

The newly married star wore a long-sleeved, gold Emilio Pucci gown from the Fall 2014 collection.

If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a thousand times: I love a long-sleeved look on the red carpet.

I also adore this boho-inspired silhouette, and Leighton pulls it off perfectly. Even with both a deep V and high leg slit, the whole thing manages to be elegant, not overt. I’m seriously smitten.

Keeping her perfectly ombréd lob down was a genius move that completes this chic ensemble.

Despite how much I like this look, something tells me that not everyone will agree. So, let’s hear what you think!
