Solange Knowles In Gucci – 2017 Grammy Awards

Solange Knowles struck a pose at the 2017 Grammy Awards on Sunday (February 12).

For the occasion, the trend-setting singer wore a pleated gold Gucci gown with Maryam Nassir Zadeh shoes and jewelry from I Still Love You and Lady Grey.

I mean her last name is Knowles, amma right? This is a total moment, and considering everyone had the name Beyonce on their lips tonight, I love that Solange came and slayed.

While the dress is a work of art in and of itself, her hair styling and attention to detail (did you notice the two different earrings?) are equally relevant, and the whole package is Grammy gold (no pun intended).

Taraji P. Henson In Marc Jacobs – 2017 Grammy Awards

Taraji P. Henson attended the 2017 Grammy Awards on Sunday (February 12).

The actress wore a lavender Marc Jacobs mini dress with Jimmy Choo ‘Minny’ sandals.

This is seriously such a fun dress! The space motif, the color–which is quite unexpected for the red carpet–the intricate shoulder detailing: I can imagine Taraji falling in love with it the minute she saw it.

What I cannot imagine is what her stylist was thinking letting her wear it when it didn’t fit perfectly! The puckering from the sizing issues is distracting, and Taraji is way too fierce a lady for such nonsense.

I also adore her sleeked back bob and simple makeup, and they are the perfect beauty companions to this playful look.

Celine Dion In Zuhair Murad Couture – 2017 Grammy Awards

Celine Dion attended the 2017 Grammy Awards on Sunday (February 12).

For her turn on the red carpet, the diva wore an emerald green Zuhair Murad gown from the Spring 2017 Couture collection and stunning jewels, including DVANI emerald with diamond earrings.

The shoulders, the plunging neckline, the color (I mean, this color!), this entire gown is exquisite and Celine is clearly enjoying wearing it, which I love, too.

Initially, I had complaint with the sash and corresponding flounce being to much, but the more I looked at the gown, the more I embraced every bit of it.

What do you think of Celine’s emerald moment?

Katy Perry In Tom Ford – 2017 Grammy Awards

Katy Perry gave everyone something to talk about at the 2017 Grammy Awards on Sunday (February 12).

The singer wore a look from Tom Ford’s Fall 2016 runway collection and various ring stacks.

Against my better judgement, I don’t hate this look! It is definitely a lot to pull off, but it’s fun and quirky, and if anyone can do it, it’s Katy. So I’m going to ignore the slightly problematic proportions and just get onto the love!

If any red carpet should be about fun and expression, it’s the Grammy’s, and Katy is embracing both with this look. I mean, how can you not have fun in chin-to-toe sequins and ombré feathers?

Plus, her messy, newly platinum ‘do is completely fierce, and makeup is impeccable, to boot.

Katharine McPhee In Thai Nguyen – 2017 Grammy Awards

Katharine McPhee looked lovely on the red carpet of the 2017 Grammy Awards on Sunday (February 12).

The actress wore a Thai Nguyen Atelier gown with Sara Weinstock and EFFY jewelry and Aldo ‘Elivia’ sandals.

I absolutely love the beaded, rainbow-striped bodice of this gown, and how such a fun, embellished print still manages to be somewhat subdued.

The bodice is countered beautifully by the black skirt, and Katharine has styled this to perfection. From her dark nails to the simple gold jewels and the sleek pony–bravo!

Faith Hill In Zuhair Murad – 2017 Grammy Awards

Faith Hill hit the red carpet of the 2017 Grammy Awards on Sunday (February 12).

The country superstar wore an elegant, long-sleeved Zuhair Murad gown from the designer’s Pre-Fall 2017 collection.

Red is most certainly a color trend tonight, and the hue looks gorgeous on Faith, but I do take exception to a couple of her styling choices. First off, I really miss the belt from the runway look! I’m also having a hard time with the competing shades of red with the dress, shoes and clutch–they aren’t exact shade matches, and it’s distracting.

Finally, while her hair is absolute #goals on every level, leaving it down and voluminous detracts from the gown’s fierce shoulders.

Do you think I’m being too critical here of a truly lovely gown?
