Get The Look: Jessica Alba’s Spike TV’s ‘Guys Choice Sultry, Smoky Eye Makeup

Spike TV's "Guys Choice 2014" - ArrivalsAvon Global Celebrity Makeup Artist Lauren Andersen was inspired by the sleek, modern lines of Jessica Alba’s black leather David Koma dress worn to the Spike TV’s ‘Guys Choice 2014?, so she created a beautiful, dark eye look to match.

Lauren started with the Koh Gen Do Foundation as a base, then applied the Avon Ideal Luminous Blush in Heavenly Pink onto her cheeks.

To add some warmth, she then applied the Lorac Mineral Bronzer as a contour.

She gave Jessica’s brows a quick grooming with the Votre Vu Brow Wax.

Then, taking the Avon Glimmersticks Eye Liner in Blackest Black, Lauren lined her eyes and smudged the color out to the outer edge of the eye.

She used the Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Liner as an intense shadow color. To get the crisp edge, she used a tissue.

To finish her eyes, she applied false lashes and a coat of Avon Mega Effects Mascara in Black.

She completed the look with a swipe of the Avon Ultra Color Absolute Lipstick in Pink Renewal, which kept her lips natural, yet with a pop of colour.

Get The Look: Rihanna’s Glowing Met Gala Makeup

"Charles James: Beyond Fashion" Costume Institute Gala - ArrivalsCelebrity makeup artist Mylah Morales was inspired by Rihanna’s Stella McCartney midriff baring ensemble to create her beauty look.

She first prepped her skin with the vbeaute Buying Time Everyday Crème which she used all over her face.

Next, she used the vbeaute Undercover Agent as a primer to minimize redness, reduces fine lines, and smooth her skin for makeup application.

She focused on giving Rihanna a strong, straight brow by using a dark brow pencil to fill in sparse areas and then finishing off with a brow crème to keep it in place.

She then used a dark bronzer underneath her cheekbones to contour and applied a highlighter directly on the cheek area for a beautiful, natural glow.

She used a taupe-colored shadow all over her lids and lined her eyes with black liner.

To complete the look, she gave her a hint of color with a lilac shade on her lips.

Get The Look: Kate Upton’s ‘The Other Woman’ Premiere Polished Updo

Get The Look Kate Upton’s 'The Other Woman' Premiere Polished Updo

Celeb hairstylist Peter Butler created a sleek and polished updo for Kate Upton’s Dolce & Gabbana frock worn to the LA premiere for her newest movie, ‘The Other Woman’.

Starting with damp hair, Peter applied the Leonor Greyl’s Mousse au Lotus Volumatrice all over–a dollop on the top of her head, another split between the sides, and a dollop on the back of the head. He distributed the product throughout the hair and concentrated on the roots. For volume, he used a paddle brush and began to blow-dry her hair.

As he dried her hair, he sprayed the Leonor Greyl’s Spray Structure Naturelle among the different sections for more fullness at the root. The product combined with the blow-drying created more of a lift.

Before he began curling her tresses, he used the Eclat Naturel sparingly for more of a textured and “wet” look. He curled her hair in small sections with a large-barrel curling wand.

To form the updo, he raked Kate’s hair back with his fingers and pulled it into a ponytail. He secured this with an elastic band with hooks to “keep the ponytail in place so the hair doesn’t slide and get loose afterwards”.

Peter then wrapped the ponytail around the base and used a few hairpins to keep it budge-proof.

As a finishing touch, he spritzed the Leonor Greyl’s Lacque Souple to keep the shape throughout the night’s festivities.

Beauty Trend Spotting: The Perfect Pink Lip

Beauty Trend Spotting The Perfect Pink Lip

Spring usually comes in the form of florals or soft pastels, but this season, it’s all about the hot, poppy pink lip.

We’ve been seeing this flash of flush all over the red carpet-Shailene Woodley, Margot Robbie, Caitlin FitzGerald, Kaley Cuoco, Debby Ryan and Lea Michele have all been donning the gorgeous shade.

For a seriously bold look, go for a semi-matte lipstick, like the NARS Lipstick in Schiap. But first, prime your lips with a waterproof lip liner, like the Make Up For Ever Aqua Lip. This will make your lipstick truly budge-proof. After applying the lipstick, you can opt to add just a bit of gloss in the center of your lips for fullness.

To go a bit sheerer, a lip lacquer is the perfect product. It marries the beautiful pigment of a lipstick as well as the dewy finish of a gloss. Try the YSL Rouge Pur Couture Glossy Stain in Coril Fauve, a lovely, shiny pink. Plus, the gloss is super lightweight, so you won’t feel that icky greasy residue on your pout.

Just want a hint of pink tint? A lip stain is as subtle as it gets! We love Benefit Benetint (you can also use this as blush!) for the ultimate rosy-colored lip look. You can be as heavy-handed or light-handed as you’d like.
