Menswear Red Carpet Weekend Roundup

Menswear round up

From London to Los Angeles, here’s a look at the men who made an impression over the weekend.

Dan Stevens: The British actor stepped out at the London Evening Standard Theatre Awards on Sunday night, wearing a dashing black Burberry tux and bow tie. It doesn’t get much more dashing than that.

Andrew Garfield: The actor attended the ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2′ photocall at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver Studios on Saturday alongside Emma Stone. Like his lovely costar, he also showed Band of Outsiders some love, wearing one of the label’s khaki-coloured jackets. He paired his casual outerwear choice with a blue-and-red plaid shirt, dark denim, and black loafers.

Brad Pitt: The actor wore a black tux and matching bow tie by Saint Laurent, joining his wife-to-be Angelina Jolie and their son Maddox on the red carpet at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Governors Awards on Saturday evening.

Dianna Agron In Louis Vuitton – Napa Valley Film Festival Celebrity Tribute

Dianna Argon in Louis Vuitton - Napa Valley Film Festival Celebrity Tribute

Dianna Agron attended the Napa Valley Film Festival Celebrity Tribute in Napa, California on Friday.

The actress went with Louis Vuitton Resort 2014 for the occasion, wearing a lace trim V-neck maxi dress colourblocked with patterned teal, brown, and black panels.

She kept the accessories minimal, adding only a thick pewter-black cuff and matching teal clutch into the mix. Her barely-there makeup, berry lip, and loose waves completed the look.

I don’t know about you, but this look seems to age the young actress quite dramatically, what do you think?

Governors Awards 2013 Red Carpet Roundup

Joining Lupita Nyong’o and Angelina Jolie on the red carpet, these stars also brought their own brand of glamour to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Governors Awards, held at the Grand Ballroom of the Hollywood and Highland Center in LA on Saturday evening.

Jennifer Garner: The actress chose a black, multi-strap Dolce & Gabbana frock, which she styled with Neil Lane jewels, a Salvatore Ferragamo clutch, and black Christian Louboutin peep-toe pumps. Natural makeup and swept-back hair complemented her more casual approach to cocktail dressing.

Octavia Spencer: In true Octavia fashion, the star wore her beloved Tadashi Shoji, selecting a red satin dress detailed with black lace at the shoulders and neckline and a sweet black bow belt at the waist. She accessorized with a medley of simple black accessories — a wrap, Rauwolf clutch, and heels, to be exact — and partnered the look with soft waves.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus: The ‘Veep’ star stepped out in a sleeveless, floor-length David Meister gown with a subtle front slit and metallic-covered keyhole. Sleek black Casadei sandals, a black Roger Vivier clutch, and shiny, straight locks completed the look.

Claire Danes In Giambattista Valli – ‘Late Show with David Letterman’

Claire Danes In Giambattista Valli - 'Late Show with David Letterman'

Claire Danes was spotted outside the Ed Sullivan Theater after making a guest appearance on the ‘Late Show with David Letterman’ in New York City yesterday.

The actress was a matchy-matchy lady in red, pairing a floral lace Giambattista Valli cocktail dress with a tweedy overcoat and Christian Louboutin pointy-toe pumps — all in the same striking shade of scarlet red.

As if that weren’t enough colour to digest, Claire also debuted her new strawberry blonde locks. While not quite as red as her alter ego’s, Angela Chase from the ’90s show ‘My So-Called Life’, it’s certainly a noticeable change.

She completed the look with darkly-lined eyes and a nude lip.

Are you feeling the head-to-toe red… and her new hair colour?

Miranda Kerr In Michael Kors - JFK

Miranda Kerr was spotted at JFK Airport on Thursday.

The model had just arrived in New York City following her guest appearance at the ‘Michael Kors and Miranda Kerr Celebrate Elle Japan December Cover’ #MKTOKYO party in Tokyo, and was clearly still feeling the Michael Kors love.

She wore a blue floral-printed dress belted with a brown python belt, both from Michael Kors’ Spring 2014 collection, which she styled with a navy blazer worn on the shoulders, nude Michael Kors ‘Avra’ pumps, and a black Samantha Thavasa bag.

Vogue NO.100 Night In Beijing

Vogue NO 100 Night In Beijing

The glamour was on full display at Tuesday’s Vogue NO. 100 Night in Beijing. Here’s a look at who wore what for the evening’s festivities.

Shu Qi: The actress wore an embellished Hugo Boss Fall 2013 gown with its statement hardware belt, styling it with a slicked-back bun and minimalist drop earrings. While this dress was previously worn by Jourdan Dunn, it could almost be mistaken as two very different looks, don’t you think?

Du Juan: The model-actress stepped out in a floor-length, sleeveless Valentino Resort 2014 dress that featured all-over floral embroidery. Her pin-straight locks and red lip completed the look.

Liu Zi: Clad in a wine-red Emporio Armani Fall 2013 number, Liu Zi showed off the dress’s one sleeve on, one sleeve off detail, along with its almost cumbersome voluminous shape. She paired the look with a black-and-gold clutch and a gold collar statement necklace.

Qin Shupei: The lanky model chose a strapless LWD with floral-embroidered waist detail from the Christian Dior Fall 2013 collection, which she complemented with a red lip, white pumps, and a simple double-strand silver necklace.

Li Feier: By choosing a floor-skimming white lace Dolce & Gabbana number, Li looked mermaid-like and ethereal. She accessorized with a white clutch, gold cuff, and a skinny tiara.

Emma Pei: The model evoked quite the 1920s flapper vibe in her Giorgio Armani Fall 2013 look, consisting of a silver-sequin, black-button vest top layered over a black velvet dress. A gold-plated black clutch, black sandals, and barely-there makeup were her final touches.

Haden Kuo: The actress wore a sleeveless, floor-length, gold Andrew Gn Fall 2013 dress with black lace overlay, pairing it with her long wavy locks to finish.

Ge Huijie: The model selected one of the dramatic mesh-and-feathered dresses from the Gucci Fall 2013 lineup. The eye-catching points didn’t stop there, though. She styled her dress with sheer black tights, holographic sandals, a grey clutch, hoop earrings, and a matte red lip.

Evan Rachel Wood In Robert Rodriguez - 'Charlie Countryman' New York Screening

Evan Rachel Wood attended the ‘Charlie Countryman’ screening in New York City on Wednesday evening.

The actress looked polished in a sleeveless black Robert Rodriguez Spring 2014 dress, which featured pockets, a double-breasted crossover front, and a conservative below-the-knee hemline.

She ditched the wide belt, as seen in the lookbook, opting to accessorize with a pair of studded Jimmy Choo ‘Maya’ pumps instead.

Natural makeup, Rona Pfeiffer stud earrings and slightly slicked hair completed the look.
