Red Carpet Fashion Awards

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Sophia Bush proved this beautifully as she stepped out in LA recently for the Joe’s Jeans store opening in LA on Thursday evening.

The actress wore a holiday-worthy plaid Teddy bomber jacket from Joe’s over a classic ‘Willow’ tee – also by Joe’s – and an edgy Monika Chiang leather skirt.

Perfectly pointy nude-toned Christian Louboutin heels tie the festive ensemble together.

Nothing says holiday fun like a classic plaid print in a lovely deep forest green.

Sophia’s jacket is a flawless combination of preppy and edgy. Additionally, the leather skirt says rocker chic, while the Louboutins say ladies-who-lunch.

This look is a beautiful mix of style contrasts that results in pure Christmas magic.

Of course, Sophia’s glowing grin is the best accessory of all!

John Krasinski looked handsome and happy for the LA premiere of ‘Promised Land’, which took place at the Directors Guild of America on Thursday evening.

Wearing a classically elegant Prada notched-lapel suit from the Fall 2012 collection, the adorable funny man radiated classic cool in his impeccably tailored suit and charcoal-toned tie.

John’s suit fits him perfectly, showcasing his trim physique, while the modern deep-blue and smouldering-grey tones speak to the feeling of the winter season.

A look like this can perfectly translate from the red carpet to an upscale holiday party after hours.

Festive, funny and sexy – what more could you want in a man?

Prior to her performance, Taylor Swift took to the red carpet at Z100′s Jingle Ball 2012 at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Friday evening.

The country-pop darling brought an aura of casually sexy chic to the red carpet, wearing a David Koma Spring 2013 dress.

The beloved singer/songwriter kept her look delightfully simple with minimal jewelry and accessories, but pumped up the volume with sky-high Jimmy Choo peep-toes and a signature bold red lip (which could also be an ode to the title of her latest musical release).

Taylor rarely misses a chance to look sweet and stylish at any sort of event, and this is no exception.

While we sometimes miss her penchant for sparkly gowns, we are really loving the more mature Taylor who knows how to be festive and flirty without donning looks that could double as disco balls.

Do you wish Taylor had opted for the edgier runway look with the flounced hem?

What could be more enticing than a sexy man in a great suit?

Just about nothing, judging by the smouldering look of Bradley Cooper in Tom Ford at the 2012 Kirk Douglas Awards for Excellence in Film, held during the Santa Barbara Film Festival on Saturday in Goleta, California.

Bradley keeps things simple and quite dashing in a classic grey tone, with black shoes and crisp white shirt sans tie.

We think that the semi-casual, two-button look is perfect for Bradley.

He consistently gives off a laid-back vibe, so it makes sense that this aspect of his personality translates, even at a formal event.

Following her performance at the Jingle Bell Ball, Cheryl Cole stepped out at London’s Rose Club, with boyfriend Tre Holloway leading her through the throng of paparazzi.

See-through garb seems to be all the rage this season – and of course Cheryl is getting in on the trend.

I like her avant-garde Joseph jumpsuit, but the edgy look – with a bold, sheer, floral-lace bodice – could’ve been worn with a flesh-coloured bra.

For a pop of colour, Cheryl made sure her nails were manicured in a bright red hue – perfect for the holidays.

We almost wish that Cheryl had kept the thread of festive colour with some red heels, rather than the professional-looking nude ones.

At the end of the day, though, no one does bold club-wear like Cheryl.

Chic and sexy or tacky and trashy?

Blonde bombshell Hilary Duff stepped out for a good cause on Friday in Beverly Hills, California.

The sweet starlet hit the red carpet at the March of Dimes Celebration of Babies Luncheon in a Camilla and Marc striped mini dress styled with flashy Giuseppe Zanotti patent-leather mirror pumps.

We love how Hilary has incorporated plenty of subtle metallic flashes into her look; the shoes, nail colour, and silver cuff all tie in nicely with the sparkly stripes in the casual-yet-classy frock.

However, we wonder if Hilary could have dressed the look up a little more with a festive shrug or sleek jacket.

The beige and peach tones don’t do her glowing complexion justice, while the horizontal stripes don’t flatter in the way that other patterns might.

You can buy Hilary’s Giuseppe Zanotti pumps from Neiman Marcus.
