Sofía Vergara In Donna Karan Atelier – 2014 SAG Awards

Sofía Vergara In Donna Karan Atelier - 2014 SAG Awards

Sofia Vergara was all about classic Hollywood glamour at the 2014 SAG Awards on Saturday (January 18) in Los Angeles.

The ‘Modern Family’ actress shone in silver, beaded Donna Karan Atelier that hugged her famous curves and had a low, draped back. It would have been sexier without the strap across the back but it was most likely necessary to keep Sofia’s ample bustline supported so she gets a pass on that one.

Sofia embraced a more is more philosophy by adding a statement necklace to the heavily embellished gown and finishing the look off with bouncy waves.

After making a controversial choice at the Golden Globe Awards, it was nice to see Sofia just being Sofia – a spicy, sultry bombshell.

Katrina Bowden In Badgley Mischka – 2014 SAG Awards

Katrina Bowden In Badgley Mischka - 2013 SAG Awards

Katrina Bowden attended the 2014 SAG Awards on Saturday night (January 18) at the Shrine Exposition Center in Los Angeles, California.

The ’30 Rock’ beauty wore black Badgley Mischka Pre-Fall 2014 with a gold, beaded neckline.

Although there are certainly differences, for me this dress was just a bit too evocative of the black and gold Alexander McQueen dresses that Salma Hayek wore to the 2013 Academy Awards and Kate Hudson wore to the 2013 Golden Globes.

The look would have also have been improved by pulling her hair up so that it didn’t hide the neckline, which is the gown’s key feature, particularly because she didn’t opt for any dramatic accessories.

Not a bad look but no point for panache or originality here.

Anna Gunn In Monique Lhuillier – 2014 SAG Awards

Anna Gunn In Monique Lhuillier - 2014 SAG Awards

Anna Gunn was positively statuesque at the 2014 SAG Awards (January 18) at the Shrine Exposition Center in Los Angeles.

The ‘Breaking Bad’ actress sparkled in midnight blue Monique Lhullier Resort 2014 with black beading. She accessorized with Irene Neuwirth jewelry and an Edie Parker clutch emblazoned with the ‘Breaking Bad’ logo.

Black and navy is such an elegant and underrated color combination and Anna wears it beautifully. The halter neckline is flattering and the fit is flawless.

Anna would have knocked it out of the ballpark with a chicer hairstyle that better matched the style of the dress and showed off her dramatic earrings. The tousled waves are just a touch too casual.

Even so, it’s one of Anna’s best looks to date.

Elisabeth Rohm In Marchesa – 2014 SAG Awards

Elisabeth Rohm In Marchesa - 2014 SAG Awards

Elizabeth Rohm officially kicked off the 2014 SAG Awards with a Taittinger champagne toast Saturday evening (January 18) in Los Angeles.

The ‘American Hustle’ actress dazzled in a blush, lace, long-sleeved Marchesa Resort 2014 gown embellished with beading and chiffon flowers.

Elizabeth complemented the feminine dress with soft, dewy make-up and a loose, wavy updo.

The look veered towards bridal, which a richer color could have avoided, but was undeniably gorgeous.

Hannah Simone In Marchesa – 2014 SAG Awards

Hannah Simone In Marchesa - 2014 SAG Awards

Hannah Simone was an early arrival to the 2014 SAG Awards Saturday in Los Angeles (January 18).

The ‘New Girl’ actress donned a pale lavender Marchesa Resort 2014 dress with a Ferragamo clutch, Casadei shoes and jewelry by Neil Lane and Dionea Orcini.

The classically pretty dress had a gathered, sheer overlay cinched at the waist and chiffon flowers around the neckline.

Hannah made the wise decision to sweep her hair up to avoid interfering with the neckline and kept her earrings simple.

She looks absolutely lovely.

Laura Dern In Roberto Cavalli – 2014 Golden Globe Awards

Laura Dern In Roberto Cavalli - 2014 Golden Globe Awards

Laura Dern was at her best on the 2014 Golden Globe Awards red carpet Sunday evening (January 12) in Beverley Hills.

The actress, whose father was in Best Picture nominee ‘Nebraska’, wore belted, bronze dress by Roberto Cavalli, Rupert Sanderson ‘Elba’ pumps, a ring by Graziela Gems, earrings by Ivy and a clutch by Ferragamo.

The snakeskin-inspired embroidery is beautifully executed, the belt keeps things modern and the dress skims Laura’s body in an oh-so-flattering way.

What really make this look pop are Laura’s newly auburn tresses though. As a blond, this dress would have washed Laura out, but the warm tone ties everything together.

A dusty rose lip is the perfect finishing detail.
