‘Sorry Angel (Plaire, Aimer Et Courir Vite)’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere Red Carpet Roundup

The Cannes Film Festival continues to deliver glamorous look after glamorous look with the ‘Sorry Angel (Plaire, Aimer Et Courir Vite)’ premiere on Thursday (May 10) in France.

Thylane Blondeau: The young model-actress was swept away in a voluminous Alberta Ferretti gown with Messika jewels. So often these dramatic silhouettes have princess sentiments that are enhanced with pastel fabrications. Hers had a moody punkish slant which was played up with the accessories and beauty look.

Irina Shayk: Clad in Atelier Versace and Chopard Jewelry, she looked red hot. The spliced style certainly oozed the brand’s signature sexiness but was surprisingly modest from the back without a cutout or revealing detail.

Sui He: With its delicate layers and flowing skirt, the Chinese model’s Ralph & Russo Spring 2018 Couture gown brought to mind the White Swan and origami. Chopard jewelry provided more sparkle.

Huma Qureshi: The futuristic detailing on her Nikhil Thampi outfit has the potential to upstage any gown, but it doesn’t fully come together. The beige fabric feels like the wrong choice for the base and there’s something off about the silhouettes. The Piaget jewels weren’t needed.

Stella Maxwell: The model’s Roberto Cavalli Couture gown was a marvel in construction with its plunging U-front and cutout back. It had shimmer and sizzle with Chopard jewelry bringing even more to the party. That being said, I cannot help but want more.

Petra Nemcova: Another beauty in ethereal tones, she wore Cristina Ottaviano with Chopard jewelry. The green sparklers add to the refreshing colour palette without completely stealing the attention from the dress.

Josephine Skriver: The Danish model was a beauty in baby blue Giambattista Valli Couture. The sweeping train and mullet hem were well suited to the expansive red carpet. The Chopard jewelry and pastel print had a lovely freshness, but I fear some might find this too prom-like.
