‘Yomeddine’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere Red Carpet Roundup

The ‘Yomeddine’ Cannes Film Festival premiere this evening (May 9) had a number of beauties in attendance. They joined Louise BourgoinLi Yuchun and Julianne Moore.

Xenia Tchoumitcheva:  The model had a playful punky moment in Ellery Pre-Fall 2018. With the sharp check bodice and voluminous black skirt, it certainly wasn’t the typical Cannes gown, but there seems to be construction issues with it staying in the proper place. I have the urge to pull it up a few inches. The Edie Parker clutch enhanced the mood, but I foresee the braided buns being divisive.

Wang Likun: With the layers of white tulle, this Christian Dior Spring 2018 Couture gown was an appropriate choice for the dancer-actress. There is such an elegant grace to the look. The embroidered bodice adds allure.

Irina Shayk: The Russian beauty was clad in a plunging black Twinset gown which brought to mind Georgia May Jagger’s. With its draped asymmetrical skirt and sparkling jewels this look had the drama I was hoping to see with the other model’s outfit.

Nieves Alvarez: The Spanish beauty oozed dramatic allure in an Alberta Ferretti gown and Bulgari jewels. Trimmed with ruffles and bedazzled with sequins, the dress didn’t need any accouterments but the weighty choker serves as a bold counterpoint.

Leomie Anderson: Another beauty in Twinset, the British model brightened things up with pleated layers of pale yellow. The simple styling allowed the magnificent drape of the skirt and decorative lace neckline to take center stage.

Kiko Mazur: This Christian Dior Spring 2018 Couture dress was made to be twirled in with its flowing skirt. It is a quieter look and I foresee some critiquing the colour combination as drab. It was refreshing to see the marriage of dove gray and seafoam, especially with the gown crafted in a netted fabric.

Tallia Storm: After a revealing look yesterday, she went for bewitching allure in Jean-Paul Benielli Couture. Many took issue with the exposed nature of her previous outfit so I’m curious to see how this one will be received.

Marica Pellegrinelli: The Italian actress struck a pose in a champagne style bedecked with crystal embellishment. The subdued hue and A-line skirt balance the low neckline. The look was cinched with a coordinating belt. With the dramatic gown, the jewels are pretty much lost.
