Nicole Kidman In Proenza Schouler – 2018 Time 100 Gala

Nicole Kidman was one of the attendees at the 2018 Time 100 Gala in New York City on Tuesday (April 24). She joined fellow honorees KeshaMillie Bobby BrownDeepika Padukone and Greta Gerwig.

Her look at the 2018 ACM Awards was a miss for the vast majority, so hopefully this Proenza Schouler Fall 2018 ensemble will earn more favorable reviews.

While subdued in colour, it was rich in detail with the sheer and opaque fabrics intermingling.

She wisely opted for a covered bodice to preserve her modesty. The layered effect on the neckline is striking and the uniform colour palette keeps it from feeling contrived.

Oversized grommets trailing down the sides of the skirt and Fred Leighton jewels enlivened the deep layers and played up her blonde hair.

Disappointed. Her hair finally looks good, but the dress is dull.

    I like her hair here.
The dress is whatever. She does better usually. It just seems all so heavy.

I love this! I don’t care about celebrities being “season appropiate”. I’d rather see the latest collections than worry about whether they are hot/cold in their outfits. If it doesn’t bother them, why should it bother us?

Even wearing fall collections, there are less moody and wintry pieces. I would love this more of this were late September.

Her hair is great and I like the dress (albeit not for spring), until we get to the ruffle on the bottom. I would prefer this floor length.

So I don’t come from a temperate climate, and I may not appreciate this concept of “seasonal dressing” all the time. However, this is a black dress with a sheer-ish top and a full skirt. Other than being black, why is it more suited to fall? Especially when her husband is in all black and she may have wanted to co-ordinate with him. I don’t see the problem.

The dress, however, I don’t particularly love…but this is the best her hair has looked in ages,

She looks good but is there some kind of rule that celebs are not to wear seasonally appropriate clothes? I get it. They want to show off that they have access to the designs before they show up in the stores but I mean really come on someone with Nicole’s fashion chops should do better.

As it has already been pointed out. I love this for winter.

The dress is dull but I like her hairstyle, for once!

What is this with wearing spring looks in the fall/winter and fall looks in the spring?

This is a good look – for October.

I agree. I love the dress but not in April. Wish she was still a ravishing redhead.

I wonder if she keeps the blonde because it is easier to hide grey hairs… red is demanding in terms of upkeep.
