Bebe Rexha In Yanina Couture – 2018 ACM Awards
Bebe Rexha brought some drama to the 2018 Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday (April 15) in Las Vegas, Nevada. She joined Maren Morris, Kimberly Schlapman and Eve.
The singer often gravitates towards black, curve-hugging styles and her Yanina Fall 2017 Couture gown played into that.
Rather than being primarily about a sensual silhouette, the rich black base was decorated with a sweeping ruffle and sheer embellished sleeves for more impact.
The lightness of the ruffle against the sumptuous strapless gown had an arresting, whimsical effect.
It brought to mind Solange’s Giles dress from the 2015 Met Gala. Just like with that style, I’m sure there will be a debate whether the singer should have worn the ruffle as shown or flipped down.
Jewels by Dana Rebecca Designs and EFFY Jewelry added some sparkle.
