PaleyFest Los Angeles : ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’

The ladies of ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ were at The Paley Center for Media’s 35th Annual PaleyFest Los Angeles on Sunday (March 18) in advance of the hit TV series’ Season 2 premiere on April 25.

Madeline Brewer: Some may immediately see this Giorgio Armani Resort 2018 bubblegum-pink frock as too twee. But, I found it fun and flirty, with the impact of the black accents as well as her auburn waves, Djula diamond hoops, and Sophia Webster sandals all adding to its cheeky charm.

Samira Wiley: With a far quieter approach, Samira still took the LBD to the next level with this Greta Constantine pencil dress that was ladylike—with an edge, given the sheer elements. Schutz pumps completed the look.

Yvonne Strahovski: I can see how this Oscar de la Renta peasant-sleeve, cold-shoulder dress was a slight homage to the series. However, I was looking for a bit more oomph for the occasion that neither the frock nor the Fernando Jorge jewelry and nude Paul Andrew pumps delivered.

Amanda Brugel: I was fully intrigued by this Simone Rocha frock styled with Christian Louboutin heels. I would have immediately labeled it as too precious with the lace frills had it not been for the addition of the progressive, paper-doll cutout motif. As such, the more I looked at the dress, the more I liked it—especially the smart grace with which Amanda wore it.
