King Abdullah II and Queen Rania of Jordan’s Netherlands Visit

King Abdullah II and Queen Rania of Jordan started their two day official visit to The Netherlands as the guests of King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima today (March 20), where they were greeted with a state ceremony held at Noordeinde Palace.

The two Queens will have much to talk about, as they both work towards economic development and humanitarian causes around the world.

We used to seeing both ladies in stylish dresses, but on this occasion their sartorial styles were up against the elements.

Queen Máxima of the Netherlands: It’s not only Meghan Markle and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge who are serving up statement-making outerwear this season. I love how the simplicity and craftsmanship shines through in this caramel-hued coat, which the Queen wore over a gold lace Claes Iversen dress, paired with a slanted hat to solidify the formality of the look.

Queen Rania of Jordan: This colourful coat instantly brightens her gray and white outfit, and my mood, along with her uber chic accessories. The silhouette and bold colour felt fitting for the thoroughly modern Queen, who does not shy away from making a major fashion statement.

What an incredibly chic way to officially welcome the first day of Spring.
