Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

It’s been a busy week so far in menswear, with notable events across from LA to New York City, and even Beijing. Here’s what the guys wore.

Common: While at the For Your Consideration event for Showtime’s ‘The Chi’ in LA on Friday (March 9), Common heaped on the calm and collected cool factor in his Sandro Homme Spring 2018 sweater and trousers. This is a great combination of shades, between the golden-yellow and the gray trousers that we don’t see all that often.

Trevor Jackson: Bringing his fashion game to the red carpet of the 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards on Sunday (March 11) in Inglewood, California, Trevor wore a Bally Spring 2018 look. It may have been rather colourful, but this was the occasion to combine a sunset-orange jacket with an owl-print shirt and satiny-blue trousers. Carvil Paris loafers completed his look.

Charlie Plummern: As soon as I said that we don’t see the yellow and gray combo enough, Charlie showed up with another variation whilst at the Build Studio in New York City on Monday (March 12) to discuss ‘Lean on Pete.’ He wore the same Sandro Homme sweater as Common yet his definition of street-style cool had him pairing it with a gray jacket, denim, and white sneakers for a solidly laid-back yet put-together vibe.

Tye Sheridan: On some fellows, this Ermenegildo Zegna Couture sweater and trousers may have fallen into corporate no-man’s land. But, I found that Tye brought such a preppy, effortless vibe to the ensemble that it elevated its more common, casual-Friday ground.

Scott Eastwood: This was an interesting way to wear a Salvatore Ferragamo suit with the polo-style shirt underneath. But, it’s growing on me, especially with the graphic patterning of the shirt. Ferragamo shoes rounded out the look at the ‘Pacific Rim: Uprising’ premiere on Monday (March 12) in Beijing, China.

Andrew Garfield: Sticking to tradition, Andrew suited up in Tom Ford tailoring with a textural, wide tie at the ‘Angels in America’ celebratory gala on Sunday (March 11) in New York City.

Eka Darville: I loved this moment of drama that Eka brought to the red carpet, joining Krysten Ritter at The Paley Center for Media Presents: An Evening With Marvel’s ‘Jessica Jones’ on Thursday (March 8) in New York City. The monochromatic suit and shirt from The Kooples resonated strongly when paired with the caped Sandro Homme overcoat, matching tan R.M. Williams boots, and silver Love Heals jewelry for a superhero-meets-street look.

G-Eazy: Also at the 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards, G-Eazy ramped up his Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello look for the occasion with this metallic, embellished jacket for a hit of rocker—or rapper—glam.
