Penelope Cruz In Versace & Balmain 44 François Premier - 'Loving Pablo' Madrid Photocall & Premiere

Penélope Cruz offered up a duet of strong looks at both the Madrid photocall and premiere for ‘Loving Pablo’ on Tuesday (March 7) in Spain.

Photocall: Naturally, the Versace devotee donned a look from the Versace Spring 2018 collection. I really like the cool-girl, tribute-inspired attitude of the look with the studded leather jacket and the Medusa belt. My feeling is that, in person, the intricate play of black textures between the sheer pleated miniskirt, the tights and the slouchy boots were a bit more successfully defined than as captured in photographs.

Premiere: All-out glam was alive and well in this Balmain 44 François Premier design that can only be described as a power gown. The collection is Balmain’s eveningwear capsule, named after the Paris address of Pierre Balmain’s original couture atelier. The retro spirit of the asymmetrical bold shoulder and glitziness are a given, but then again, that’s what this dress was all about.
