Lupita Nyong’o In Dolce & Gabbana – ‘Gringo’ LA Premiere

It’s been a busy weekend for Lupita Nyong’o with the Oscars and Vanity Fair Party, but the actress is not in the mood to slow down as she attended the ‘Gringo’ LA premiere last night (March 6) to support her ‘Queen of Katwe’ co-star David Oyelowo.

The actress wore a Dolce & Gabbana lace up corset dress which continues to be an iconic, and timeless look for the Italian designers, who have presented versions of this dress in the 90s, 00s and again for 2018.

I love how this look is brimming with sophisticated seductiveness. There is really no style that Lupita can’t conquer.

Some might be disappointed by the lack of colour here, but my feeling is that Lupita wanted to go for something striking in style, but nothing that would overshadow the stars of the film.

The dress looks uncomfortable and restricting

Awful. Dull and the dress is rather dated. And the styling is not good.

I hope David Oyelowo, who is in the movie, gets his own post. Look at his beautiful jacket in that picture with Lupita — she’s a good friend to dress so as not to take the spotlight from that gorgeous look.

She looks good. The dress is whatever and dated.

I don’t love the dress (don’t dislike it either), but I love that she has so much fun with fashion and takes so many risks that pay off. She is never boring and I love that.

The style is rather dated but Lupita is always enchanting.
