Front Row @ Chanel Fall 2018

Chanel darlings would not be missed on the front row, where the house’s designer Karl Lagerfeld envisioned an autumnal, leaf-dotted setting for the Fall 2018 presentation during Paris Fashion Week on Tuesday (March 6).

Keira Knightley: This colourful tweed dress would have been far more successful with a bit more waist-defining shape to defeat the tent-like notions. It was also in desperate need of a sleeker hairstyle.

Liu Wen: The model owned this chunky sweater and wide-leg trousers combo despite the exaggerated proportions of both the top and bottom pieces.

Lily Allen: Speaking of oversized silhouettes, these embellished pants were the main attraction of Lily’s look, so I do like how she kept it simple up top with the black T-shirt. Her classic handbag and the hair ribbon tied around her pastel-pink updo added a sweet girlishness to the look.

Vanessa Paradis: The length and flared nature of the coat in partnership with the vest and slouchy jeans shortened her already petite frame. The look would have been more flattering with a standard blazer.

Lara Stone: The sweater dress took on new, modern form here, but I almost think there would have been more sleek, youthful sass were it not for the fabric bauble necklaces.
