Emily Blunt In Alexander McQueen – 2018 Vanity Fair Oscar Party

Emily Blunt was one of the many attendees at the 2018 Vanity Fair Oscar Party on Sunday (March 4) in Beverly Hills, California. She joined Zoe Kravitz, Emma Watson and Zendaya Coleman.

The ‘Mary Poppins Returns’ actress shone in an Alexander McQueen gown. The ornate style was bedecked with Art Nouveau flower and bird embroidery which was created with gold sequins and silver beaded outlines.

It was a change of pace from the ethereal Schiaparelli Couture dress she wore to the 2018 Oscars. It was decadent with the luxurious surface work playing off her blonde hair and jewellery.

Looking at it, you cannot tell whether it’s lined, partly lined or completely sheer, and that is exactly the type of illusion you want to create with a detailed piece such as this. It’s exquisite craftsmanship.

LOVE this. What a fun party dress. The nude lining perfectly matching her skin tone makes me very happy.

Wow, she’s good. And her hair color is lovely.

This is fabulous and she should have worn this to the Oscars instead of that insipid Schiaparelli frock.

This way better than the dress she wore to the Oscars. The fit on this one is excellent and I love illusion effect of the lining. What I don’t love is the overall effect of the embroidery, which is just too much IMO especially with the earrings.

Why didn’t she wear this for the main event? This is eye catching, flattering and perfect for Oscars red carpet.

Emily Blunt definitely redeemed herself from the main event in this Alexander McQueen figure hugging leafy-embroidered gown. Considering the busy pattern is attention-grabbing enough, I’m glad she kept her hair and makeup simple with just some dangling earrings as the dress speaks of itself. This dress also reminds me of her “The Girl On The Train’ London premiere gown, just this one is the chocolate brown version of that colorful offering. Anyway Emily always looks great in McQueen dresses, well done Emily!! Nothing BLUNT here indeed!!

An big improvement from the ceremony. Beautifully detailing, great colour on her and is grown up glamour. Perhaps the earrings could have fun lost though.

I’m not really a fan of the dress, to be perfectly honest.

I’m with you Alina. I can appreciate the workmanship, but it seems a little matronly to me. And the earrings seem dated as well.

Exquisite indeed. This is one gorgeous dress and she looks fabulous in it. Much better than her red carpet dress.

This is sooooo much better than her red carpet dress. It fits her like a glove, the colour flatters her and I like the intricate broidery.

I think the earrings are a bit overkill for such a busy dress.

+1! Definitely a fav from the party options
