Kerry Washington In Dolce & Gabbana – 2018 Costume Designers Guild Awards

Kerry Washington was the recipient of the ‘Spotlight Award’ at the Costume Designers Guild Awards held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on Tuesday (February 20) in California.

Dolce & Gabbana is continually inspired by the theme of love, so falling in love with this Spring 2018 black floral appliqué gown was a very easy thing to do.

This is truly a mesmerising and captivating piece. Kerry Washington at her very best.

Adding to the glamour by teaming it with gold accents and a rouge lip, this might be one of my favourite looks from the ‘Scandal’ actress in a long while.

I don’t know, it’s beautiful and all, but it instantly reminded me of that pale green Gucci gown Elle Fanning wore to last years Cannes, with the yellow flowers along the hem – and I can’t help but feel that, comparison to that, it looks a bit heavy and frumpy and overloaded.
Not that I think it’s a bad look, it’s just not amazing.

I find there is too many ideas on one dress….the sheer and the top and bottom flowers and the odd bodice which has underwires showing (or looks that way).

I love her lipstick a lot. and thats all I really got here.

she looks beautiful. Still not digging the sheer skirt but she makes it work

I’m not cheering at the screen but she does look nice. I’m not bothered about the sheer as it’s not in your face with her usual elegance shining through and the pink lip was a nice touch.

Neck up, she is gorgeous, neck down that is one ugly dress. Her eye makeup and hair are perfect. The flowers on the hem of the dress are awful.

I agree, not loving this dress at all

Her face is lovely, great lipstick.

I like the dress from afar, but I do not like the flower appliqués on the bottom. Too big and arts & craft for me.

I’m not bothered by the sheerness but still find the dress repulsive.

She’s wearing like triple stacked platforms just for the dress not to puddle on the floor. 😀 That side, this is one time I do not mind the sheerness. The dress is a thing of beauty and I feel the sheer skirt helps to showcase it. I love her beauty look. This is a BDOTW look for me.

From a distance, I thought this was a nice look, but after a closer look…Kerry, I love you, but no There’s the sheerness, of course, which is totally unneeded. But I also really dislike the foliage outlining the bust and the shoulder thing.

I totally agree and I don’t like the boob appliqués.

This is one of the few instants where I’m not bothered at all by the sheerness of the outfit. stunning appliqués!
