Harper’s BAZAAR CDGA Celebration

Harper’s BAZAAR and the CDG celebrated the top costume designers and nominees of the 20th CDGA with an event on Saturday (February 17) in West Hollywood, California

Serayah McNeill: This highlighter-yellow Alexandre Vauthier fitted mini dress may not have been anything new, but it fit her to a T and the colour was a bright revelation—plus the drape at the front added more sultry appeal. Giuseppe Zanotti gold sandals rounded out her look.

Laura Marano: The beauty of this Tadashi Shoji Spring 2018 design was in its colouful floral embroidery, to which the sheer elements offered just an elegant hint at peek-a-boo allure. A Tadashi Shoji ‘Charlotte’ clutch completed the look.

Hong Chau: Personalized and progressive, Hong edged up her frothy baby-blue Adeam dress with an Adeam Spring 2018 metallic embossed jacket.

Jhene Aiko: Likewise merging disparate styles, Jhene wore this frilly Givenchy Resort 2018 mullet top with slouchy denim and stilettos. I appreciate the unique, urban spirit of the look, even if I think it’s an acquired taste.

Nikki Reed: The wide-leg, patterned jumpsuit took on a feminine grace with the twisted bow at the front and Nikki’s side ponytail.

I love Laura’s look – wished it was less long and was lined, but the design is interesting and the color suits her so well.

    Jhene’s look is WDOTY-worthy.
The only one I like here is Laura’s.

Serayah looks divine but summery, very out of place. The rest are a no.

Something seems to have changed about Serayah; it looks like she has left her try hard ways behind her. She is my favorite here despite the season inappropriateness

I love Serayah’s look but it’s not spring or summer.
