Saoirse Ronan In Chanel – 2018 BAFTAs

Saoirse Ronan looked like an ethereal beauty when she stepped out at 2018 BAFTAs on Sunday (February 18) in London, England, alongside Leslie Bibb and Rebecca Ferguson.

The ‘Lady Bird’ star, who is nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role, showed her support for the Time’s Up movement in a black Chanel Pre-Fall 2017 dress.

The long-sleeved style was practical given the chillier temperatures, plus, the decorative top created such a contrast against the sheer skirt.

Many have been fatigued with unlined skirts, but as an entire look this feels fresh.

I’m sure there will still be some who will wish to see the skirt removed and the frock worn as a mini, but there is a dark elegance to the longer length. Had it been short, it would have lacked formality required for the event.

Jimmy Choo shoes and bag and Cartier jewels completed the darkly romantic look.

I love the juxtaposition of the rough, robust bodice with the lightness the almost immateriality of the skirt. It is an allusion to the water which flows amongst the channels in Hamburg, with big heavy buildings in their borders.
She looks ravishing. I love it.

I wish she went all out and wore black tights like the runway.

I agree. I do not like the flimsy skirt.

Very disappointed. Since the Golden Globes, she has not lived up my hopes.

meh. Its there. Unexciting and looks top-heavy.

I don’t hate this dress, it caught my eye on the runway. I’m just not sure Saoirse is the right person for it? But then it looks good in some photos…I don’t know, I can’t decide if I like it or not lol.
Either way, I think she deserves credit for never picking the most conventional choice. I really admire that about her.

Hair and makeup are nice but this is not a good dress. The top looks heavy and the placement of the sheer portion is awkward. This dress gets a big no from me.

I expected more from her. I love her makeup, though.

It’s a very flimsy skirt for how heavy the top part of the dress is,that’s my problem. Overall though I think this is a good look for Saoirse, I just love how every time she hits the red carpet her looks feel like her

I actually like how the sheer skirt lightens up the look as the top feels a bit heavy and constricting, and the feathers add a playful touch. I’m not a big fan of the look, but I think she wears it nicely.

    Ughhhh no.

I don’t like this at all. The top is ill fitted, the feather is at a awkward place and the whole thing looks heavy and drowning on her. A better version of this dress is The 2015 emma stone sag award dress by dior.

We know that karl’s design is rarely good for redcarpet so how much did chanel paid her to wear that?
