Front Row @ Tom Ford Fall 2018

The front row at the Tom Ford Fall 2018 runway show on Thursday (February 8) in New York City was a star-studded affair with celebrities bringing out their most glamorous looks.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley: The English model demonstrated the designer’s mastery of tailoring and glamour in a Spring 2018 dress and jacket. The sharp-shouldered topper against the soft ruching on the maxi had a powerful, sensual mix, and she carried it off splendidly.

Zayn Malik: The ‘Dusk Till Dawn’ singer looked cool in jeans and a suede jacket. He might be projecting an insouciant air, but the ensemble has clearly been well thought out with the layered neckline and the coordinating shades of green. The sunglasses added some swagger against the preppy elements.

Julianne Moore: A long-time supporter of the designer, the actress cut a sharp figure in a monochromatic look. I was enamoured with her riff on suiting, breaking away from convention with the oversized blazer and leather track pants. The strappy sandals and clutch enlivened the mix.

Elizabeth Banks: Proving simplicity needn’t be boring, the ‘Power Rangers’ actress wore a black dress which had a quiet sophistication from the wrap-around zip. She enhanced the metallic detail with her accessories, adding a subdued shimmer to the inky frock.

Doutzen Kroes: Another beauty in black, the model was outfitted in a long-sleeved column which captivated with its sleek, liquid-like silhouette. The tailoring is a marvel to behold.

Nicola Peltz: The actress brightened things up with a bold blue dress from the Spring 2018 collection. The pleated detail on the bust could be divisive, but it has been successfully executed in a unique way that enhances her shape. White pumps and a glittery clutch added more pizzazz.

Hailey Baldwin: Showing major pins, the model borrowed a full look from the Spring 2018 runway. I am intrigued to see how she would have styled some of the elements individually, but I will not fault her for wearing the entire ensemble because it suits her forward-thinking, sexy style. Not to mention that it seems made for her gams.

Nina Agdal: Also having some leg on display, the model wore one of the more decorated outfits. It’s evident that every detail was thoroughly considered with the high neck framing her face and corset details enhancing her waist for a va-va-voom effect.

Karen Elson: The model was suited in black velvet separates. The look has the languid air of pyjama dressing but with a sophisticated allure as she styled it sans shirt. The gold accessories added a touch of glam.
