The Duke And Duchess Of Cambridge Visit To Sweden – Day 1

It would seem Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge together with Prince William, Duke of Cambridge had a packed first day of their four-day visit to Sweden and Norway on Tuesday (January 30), attending a number of royal engagements in Stockholm.

Bandy Hockey Match: Showing her classic sportsmanship, Catherine donned a Burberry ‘Toddingwall’ shearling trench coat topped off by a playful Eugenia Kim ‘Rain Pom Pom Beanie Hat’. She further bundled up in a bordeaux-hued Brora cable-knit snood, Sorel ‘Torino’ waterproof ankle boots and hockey gloves. But, it was the pure fun she seemed to be having here that was what really mattered.

Lunch at the Royal Palace: Offering the subtle peek at her burgeoning bump, she changed into a simple Catherine Walker bespoke ‘Bea’ shift dress for the lunch date. Her Kiki McDonough ‘Special Edition’ green gemstone earrings helped to enliven the look, whilst she returned to more traditional ground with her go-to black pumps, these by Tod’s.

Walk From Royal Palace to the Nobel Museum: Bundling up for the cool weather, she again relied on favoured designer Catherine Walker for this wool coat that was a richer take on the green hue by virtue of the fur details that were echoed in her Peruvian Connection alpaca fur hat. A Mulberry ‘Mini Seaton’ bag and Stuart Weitzman half-n-half suede boots completed the ever-so-elegant look.

Dinner: Erdem is another go-to label for Catherine during her royal tours, and this ‘Stephanie’ floral gown presented a look that was conservative in silhouette, yet bolder in colour and print than we might first expect. The most special part of the ensemble, though, were Princess Diana’s Collingswood earrings.
