Kate Hudson In Valentino – 2018 SAG Awards

Kate Hudson turned heads at the 2018 SAG Awards on Sunday (January 21) in Los Angeles, California, joining Yara Shahidi and Laura Linney.

We’ve seen the actress embrace different styles since shaving her head, yet this Valentino Pre-Fall 2018 gown was not something I expected from her.

Once I analyzed it more, it recalled the sweet femininity of her Stella McCartney separates she wore at her last appearance.

The heart-decorated dress was romantic, playful and Victorian all wrapped up with a black bow.

The Forevermark jewels and soft makeup prevented it from being cutesy.

It is all so wrong for her! The hair and the black Victorian neckline are the worst parts though. The dress might be fun for a teen star.

My worst dressed for this event

    Oh… this is terrible indeed.

She used to be one of the best on the red carpet. What happened?? It can’t be just the haircut.

I don’t mean to be so harsh, but she also seems to be going overboard on the fillers, which is a shame. She doesn’t look herself.

she is all over the map recently. At her age she should have found out what works for her and experiment within those markers.

With that hair cut she could have gone edgier, instead of saccherine.

I applaud her for trying something different, but the body-conscious / sleek dresses suit her so much better than this.

I may be in the minority on this one but I really do like this look. Yes, there is a lot going on and it may be a little too young and twee for Kate but I appreciate its boldness and it makes me smile. And sometimes that is all it takes.

I agree, I am surprised that I don’t hate it.

The gown doesn’t feel like her at all, and the style of the gown clashes with that hairstyle. This doesn’t look good at all.

Dress is not very pretty. looks a bit cheesy and westworld-y.

What happened to her style? Bring Rachel Zoe back lol. This is awful.

    Terrible

Well, this is a shame. I think it would have been terrific as a strapless or sheath-neck gown.

I hate this. Cutesy and too young for her.
