Angelina Jolie In Valentino – The National Board Of Review Annual Awards Gala

Angelina Jolie joined Julianna Margolies, Saoirse Ronan, and Lupita Nyong’o for The National Board Of Review Annual Awards Gala on Tuesday (January 9) in New York City.

Wearing one of her favoured hues, she cut a softly stunning profile in a black Valentino gown that was specially designed for her by Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli.

I love how the lace cape overlay added a moment of subtle allure and movement to the conservative femininity of the design.

Her natural beauty look radiated all the more with her minimalist approach to styling.

    Dreadful. Shapeless and uninteresting.

this also reminds me of lingerie. She does not look bad in it, but it is definitely not exciting.

With what is essentially a sheer overlay on a simple black sheath it’s a little too similar to her globes dress to be wearing within a week of that event.

Pretty standard for her. Nondescript. Her face is glowing, beautiful as usual.

Maybe it’s my laptop but I can’t see any details on this dress to make it interesting. Her face as always is beautiful but the dress is just okay. I like the “elegant witch” description.

I wish it was a color but it’s very graceful and just the right amount of elegant witch aesthetic.

ITA. I miss her in colour.

(Since I read your comment all I can think of is expensive-looking cauldrons)
