2018 Golden Globe Awards Menswear Roundup
The all-black dress code was something more applicable to the women at the 2018 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday (January 7) in Beverly Hills, California. But, the menswear also followed in similar form with a countless number of classic black tuxes in the mixâmany accessorised by the âTimes Upâ pin.
Dave Franco: I donât think Dave could have looked more fine in his Saint Laurent tuxedo that was given an elevated flair with the embellished lapels that glinted ever so slightly in the light. And, can we just talk about his enviable brow line.
Sterling K. Brown: The actor, who won the Golden Globe for his work in âThis Is Usâ was sharply turned out in an Isaia velvet tuxedo jacket styled with Christian Louboutin patent loafers and Chopard accessories. If I were to nitpick, the trousers could have done with a bit of tailoring to the length.
TimothĂ©e Chalamet: The âCall Me By Your Nameâ actor and nominee took a handsome, all-black approach in his Berluti slim-line suit.
Norman Reedus: Methinks it was partly Normanâs hairstyle and partly the tailoring of this Prada all-black suit that created a sort of unkempt aesthetic.
Noah Schnapp: I always look forward to seeing the âStranger Thingsâ cast on the red carpet, and Noah was so preciously dashing in his Balmain double-breasted suit styled with a Brackish bow tie, an Elizabetta Boutique scarf, and JĂ©sĂč-SĂ©gun London slipper loafers. Those actors three times the 13-year-oldâs age could obviously take cues from the up-and-comerâs fetching style.
Ansel Elgort: This Prada all-black look offered a suave, crisp attitude that was perfect for the ‘Baby Driver’ actor and nominee.
Edgar Ramirez: There was something about the fit of this Bottega Veneta Fall 2017 tux, specifically in the boxy nature of the jacket, that didnât flatter as much as it could have.
Finn Wolfhard: The young actor kept it traditional in a Saint Laurent suit and tie.
Nick Jonas: Nick always seems to serve up his well-fitted looks with a side of supreme polish, as with this Versace tuxedo that was quite fetching on him.
Matt Smith: The British actor likewise took a British style approach in his classic Burberry double-breasted suit and skinny bow tie.
Caleb McLaughlin: The âStranger Thingsâ cast is a well-dressed one, and Caleb added to the fine mix with the sleekness of this shawl-collar suit, whereby the turtleneck and embellished pin were the statement pairings rather than the standard bow tie.
Jude Law: Opting for a slightly lighter charcoal rendition of a suit, the actor donned a stylish Saint Laurent design accented by a contrasting black satin lapel.
Garrett Hedlund: The actor kept it simple and straightforward in an all-black Salvatore Ferragamo ensemble.
Common: Always wearing his looks with such a flair for style, Common cut a formal-cool profile in his impossibly sleek Armani tuxedo accented by a dragonfly pin.
Alexander Skarsgard: The âBig Little Liesâ actor and Golden Globe winner dressed in a Hugo Boss double-breasted tux, with his bold, gold Bulgari watch ironically foreshadowing his golden trophy that would come later in the evening.
Milo Ventimiglia: The âThis Is Usâ actorâs Ermenegildo Zegna Couture tuxe was sharp, snappy, and sophisticated with its satin collar and tonal flower pin.
Daniel Kaluuya: The âGet Outâ actor and nominee wore a Gucci shawl-collar suit
Justin Timberlake: Justin looked rather dignified in his Dior Homme all-black ensemble, even with his buzz cut and heavier beard.
