Michelle Monaghan In Brandon Maxwell – W Magazine Celebrates Its ‘Best Performances’ Portfolio

Before Sunday’s black dress code goes into full effect, Michelle Monaghan opted for a ray of sunshine for W Magazine’s Celebration of its ‘Best Performances’ Portfolio and the Golden Globes on Thursday (January 4) in LA.

The actress wore a Brandon Maxwell Spring 2018 vintage-inspired two piece look styled with black accessories from Jimmy Choo.

I know your first thought was probably, “why would you wear a look previously worn by Blake Lively after it garnered so much attention?”

But I find the look both stunning and endlessly captivating, so have no issue with seeing it again.

it looked better on Michelle than on Blake, maybe because of the belt

Hmmm maybe something wrong with the comments section, I think I’m hitting the replay bouton.

Extra fab, don’t even care that it’s a repeat, I love it much more on Michelle!!

I like it BETTER on Blake. Michelle still look nice

Nope. Wayyyy too much yellow going on. I supposedly liked it at the time on Blake but now that I see it I deeply dislike that one too.
    Garish on both.

Didn’t wow me on Blake neither on Michelle.

I didn’t even remember this look on Blake.

Yellow is definitely more striking on a brunette.

I enjoy that it fits and is not creased (these monochrome statement looks seem to suffer from that), but it’s too much yellow for me.

Oh, I miss the belt so much! Sorry to disagree with you all!

I also think the lighting of this pic is not doing her any favours… But I see how it looks much better on a brunette, definitely.

I like it better on Michelle since she opted not to wear the belt, hence showing more streamlined and effortless shilouette.

Me too. Plus it looks much better with her darker hair.

I totally agree with you both. While I do not mind the belt that much, the ensemble does look better on a brunette.

Love it. Looks amazing against her dark hair and the dark accessories look great no problems here seeing a re run

      100% agree. She looks radiant.

Glorious in Blake and glorious on Michelle. Whilst I do agree that it’s a little odd to see a repeat of such a distinctive and bold look, I’m on board with its second appearance here. It is a truly fabulous look and Michelle more than does it justice.
