Laura Carmichael In Christopher Kane – The Fashion Awards 2017

Laura Carmichael struck a pose at The Fashion Awards on Monday (December 4) in London, joining Pink and Selena Gomez.

I was surprised when I saw the former ‘Downton Abbey’ star clad in a directional Christopher Kane Spring 2018 dress.

The actress often favors classic, feminine styles with timeless silhouettes so I applaud her for trying something new.

Her black version presented a more formal feel and I can hear many cheers for her lining the dress. The neutral underlayer allowed the exquisite lace detailing to not be lost.

The crisscross heels played up the edginess of the look, but I would have preferred a clutch over the micro bag.

Which version of the dress do you prefer?

I don’t like the split front and the shoes need to go away.

The shoes really ruin the look for me. Its a cute dress.

I prefer Laura’s version of the dress but wish she had opted for less heavy shoes.

I don’t understand why they did not line the dress in grey to match the silver detailing at the neckline. But if you line it, then at least floorlength.

All in all not a good look for her.

Exactly. Too many issues, including the odd styling.

    Neither. It’s a tattered mess.
