Karlie Kloss hosts The Fashion Awards 2017

As the model host of The Fashion Awards 2017 on Monday (December 4) in London, Karlie Kloss complied with the celebration of multiple wardrobe changes that traversed a number of style eras.

For the red carpet, she wore a sweeping Vivienne Westwood Couture gown, elegantly draped and featuring the label’s signature corseted design. A dazzling finishing touch came by way of her Lorraine Schwartz jewels, notably the double-strand pendant necklace.

Up next, she took a Gucci Resort 2018 frock out for a spin. There was a lot of look here—from the pouf sleeves, to the metallic print, ruffled hem, and the red and black tie belt. So, the dress had me immediately wanting to remove the sash for starters.

Nor did Karlie play it safe in this graphic Celine Spring 2018 dress that went bold with big stripes and a sculpted, peplum waist that gave it something of a retro-forward appeal. Christian Louboutin pumps polished it off.

The floral motifs of the Erdem label were celebrated in this Spring 2018 embellished frock that offered a slightly darker, moodier take on ladylike charm. I loved this above-the-ankle, flared silhouette on her.

Speaking of retro and charm appeal, this Calvin Klein Spring 2018 look had both—with a mod twist in the unexpected arm gloves and petal-pink, patent pumps.

The vintage spirit kept on coming with this Christian Dior Fall 2017 Couture cap-sleeve confection that could have been taken straight from the ’50s with its unique mode of glamour. I loved the smoky-grey hue with the flush of metallic-silver in the Nicholas Kirkwood shoes.

This little shimmery black number may have been a vintage Versace design, but it was a classic, sexy piece that proved relevant no matter the era—espeically when styled simply with pointy pumps and a true-red lip.

She usually bores me on the red carpet but I think she had a pretty decent evening.

She looks great but NO for the Gucci Resort blue dress!

The first row is awful. Aging and boring
The second row is fine, I like it

I only like the Versace and even the shoes there bored me. No to all of these.

I love the Westwood and like the Erdem and Versace. I hate the Gucci and Dior looks, especially the Gucci! Not right for her at all. The other looks are nice as well, though, so overall she did pretty well.

So good! There is only one miss for me, which is the Gucci dress. I agree, that taking the sash off would probably help. My absolute favourite is the Celine dress, followed by the Vivienne Westwood and Calvin Klein. It’s rare to see a host of a show wear many outfit and be able to nail it as well as Karlie did. Good job.

I will only save the Celine and CK looks. The other looks are not good and the first two are especially horrible

I love the CK and the Dior on her (just wished the latter had not such a muddy colour)..

The 3rd look is my favourite here.

First 2 looks are terrible. Everything else is pretty great though! I especially love the Celine and CK!

I think she did a good job fashionwise, but damn, that Gucci dress was waisted,it doesn’t suit her at all.

She looks good in the Celine and the Calvin Klein. I am going to pretend that I never saw that Gucci dress.

That second dress by Gucci is so frigging awful. Such a stupid look.

The first dress doesn’t suit her vibe.

The second row, all of them suit her better. esp the first and second.

the third row. fine and fine.

The Gucci gown is the worst of the looks

Looks like she had a lot of fun with her outfits – and why not at a fashion awards?
Love the Westwood, but I am totally buying all the looks.

The striped dress is from Celine’s Spring 2018 collection. Along with the Calvin Klein dress and gloves, it was my favourite look of the bunch that Karlie selected for the evening.
