Karlie Kloss hosts The Fashion Awards 2017

As the model host of The Fashion Awards 2017 on Monday (December 4) in London, Karlie Kloss complied with the celebration of multiple wardrobe changes that traversed a number of style eras.

For the red carpet, she wore a sweeping Vivienne Westwood Couture gown, elegantly draped and featuring the label’s signature corseted design. A dazzling finishing touch came by way of her Lorraine Schwartz jewels, notably the double-strand pendant necklace.

Up next, she took a Gucci Resort 2018 frock out for a spin. There was a lot of look here—from the pouf sleeves, to the metallic print, ruffled hem, and the red and black tie belt. So, the dress had me immediately wanting to remove the sash for starters.

Nor did Karlie play it safe in this graphic Celine Spring 2018 dress that went bold with big stripes and a sculpted, peplum waist that gave it something of a retro-forward appeal. Christian Louboutin pumps polished it off.

The floral motifs of the Erdem label were celebrated in this Spring 2018 embellished frock that offered a slightly darker, moodier take on ladylike charm. I loved this above-the-ankle, flared silhouette on her.

Speaking of retro and charm appeal, this Calvin Klein Spring 2018 look had both—with a mod twist in the unexpected arm gloves and petal-pink, patent pumps.

The vintage spirit kept on coming with this Christian Dior Fall 2017 Couture cap-sleeve confection that could have been taken straight from the ’50s with its unique mode of glamour. I loved the smoky-grey hue with the flush of metallic-silver in the Nicholas Kirkwood shoes.

This little shimmery black number may have been a vintage Versace design, but it was a classic, sexy piece that proved relevant no matter the era—espeically when styled simply with pointy pumps and a true-red lip.
