Claudia Schiffer In Versace – 2017 Bambi Awards

Claudia Schiffer attended the 2017 Bambi Awards on Thursday (November 16) in Berlin, Germany, where she picked up the Fashion Award to celebrating her 30-year extraordinary contribution to the industry.

The supermodel looked stunning wearing in a custom-made Versace gown inspired by the Versace Spring 2018 Tribute collection.

Claudia’s red carpet style has never seen so much detailing, as her coral-red ball gown was given an edgy slant with the leather accents, sheer corset panelling and gold Medusa studs.

In true supermodel fashion she totally owned the look, but is this BDOTW worthy for you?

So I want to say something about the eye makeup but I may come across as harsh. That is truly not my intention. Hear me out.

Claudia Schiffer has always had deep set eyes. Gorgeous, steely blue and piercing eyes. And very deep set. Together with her blonde locks and pouty lips, she truly was the nineties answer to Brigitte Bardot. (If you were guessing, yes I am old lol.) And she was often photographed on and off the red carpet in Bardot-esque looks.

Sometimes, women unintentionally tend to hold on to a certain look. And I think this look is an example. As we age, our eyebrows tend to droop a little bit and our eyes seem more narrow. The smokey eye look you did in your twenties isn’t going to look the same now. Especially in black because of the fact that light advances and dark recedes. She is a gorgeous woman, but this eye makeup just isn’t working for her anymore.

Hard to believe a professional model, a top no less, could show up at a red carpet event with such a bad makeup.
I like the dress, the colour is amazing.

Don’t like the dress, looks like bathing suit with big towel around her waist.
And it feels like she didn’t even try to make an effort with the hair.
Not BDOTW worthy, far from it.

I don’t like this dress at all. The top looks like a bathing suit to me. Her hair and makeup are awful.

It doesn’t kill the wow dress it have been better if she’d eased up on the eye liner.

Not really sure if I like it. It looks like two very different pieces to me. But I love the top part of the dress.

    Not BDOTW worthy for me.

But her body is out of this world.

+2. The dress is definitely amazing, but I agree about hair and make-up

+3 Exactly the hair and makeup are a major let down here!

The dress is magnificent. BDOTW worthy for sure. But I wish she had done something with her hair. Even a simple ponytail would have been an improvement.
