Julianne Moore In Chanel – Museum of Modern Art Film Benefit: A Tribute to Julianne Moore

Julianne Moore was the lady of the hour at the Museum of Modern Art Film Benefit: A Tribute to Julianne Moore on Monday (November 13) in New York City, where she was joined by Elizabeth Banks and Kristen Stewart.

The actress wore Chanel Fall 2017 Couture. The off-the-shoulder separates, strewn with embellishment, were certainly a look that befitted someone being honoured thanks to their luminosity.

She carried a Chanel bag and added even more shine with Chanel Fine Jewelry.

There is certainly much going on with this ensemble, but it succeeded because she carried it off in such a way where it came across as trendy but not overdone.

I personally love this. I love that Julianne never half-arses anything…she goes all the way! She’ll wear the gloves, the over-sized sleeves, the ruffled collars, the feathers, etc…she’s a risk taker and I’m always excited by what she wears.

I am neutral on this. I don’t hate and I don’t love it and I will forget it very soon.

I would prefer that the sleeves were joined to the dress but I do like it overall.

Some of her looks give a very deja vu impression and this is one of them. I feel like I have seen her wear this dress before.

The result is really frumpy and uncomfortable, plus the necklace doesn’t make any sense to me because the whole point of the design is to showcase the person’s upper body, whereas hers looks cluttered. Considering she was the one being honored, I really don’t like this look.

nope. no to the weird sleeves and without them it does not look like the most flattering silhouette.
