‘The Star’ LA Premiere

There were many stylish ladies out at the LA premiere of the animated film ‘The Star’ on Sunday (November 12).

Meagan Good: The actress opted for stunning simplicity in this white Zeena Zaki gown. The snowy colour played into the festive theme, matching the white carpet. Some of the details did get lost, but the dress’s immaculate cut did not. Le Vian diamond earrings added some sparkle to the ensemble.

Gina Rodriguez: The ‘Jane the Virgin’ actress often embraces colour and feminine shapes. This Missoni fringe dress spoke to both points. The multicoloured banding with embroidery had a striking finish thanks to the play of textures and shapes. The coordinating fringed sleeves were a joyful touch, as were the Casadei pumps.

Dinah Jane: The ladies of Fifth Harmony presented a cohesive statement with Dinah donning this electric coral Rebecca Vallance Breakers dress. The vivid hue allowed the simple details to come across including the T-shirt-style bodice and the ankle-length fluted skirt. It was a formal look, but it still had a relaxed, youthful ease.

Normani Kordei: The singer opted for a romantic ensemble in this Valentino gown. The scattering of red poppies tied in with her band mate’s ensembles while nodding to Remembrance Day. It was also a softer look compared to the sexy, glamorous styles Fifth Harmony often favors.

Ally Brooke: The singer selected a short and sweet outfit. Her red Mestiza dress was decorated with a multicoloured appliqué. Some might question the placement of the detail, but I felt it was a unique touch which helped make the frock memorable.

Lauren Jauregui: Also opting for red, the American singer donned an off-the-shoulder Lavish Alice dress. It was elegant yet alluring thanks to the fitted shape and front slit. Her sparkling choker and nude pumps were sophisticated finishing touches.

Festive and event appropriate. I like the relaxed formality, nothing OTT.

They all look fine with Normani and Gina being the pick of the bunch.

Meagan is the only one I really like here.

Other than the red, this is not a particularly cohesive look for Fifth Harmont but individually they all look better than usual.
