Jennifer Hudson In Alexander McQueen – ITV Gala

To say I was overjoyed by Jennifer Hudson’s Alexander McQueen Pre-Fall 2017 look worn to the ITV Gala on Thursday (November 9) in London would be an understatement.

Why?

Because she’s pulled herself out of her mini-dress-all-the-time style-rut, and given us something fresh and different.

Concealing and revealing through cleverly placed pieces of fabric, this look feels infinitely sexier than any mini dress, especially with its sculpting silhouette.

I adore the faux hawk and the sleek sandals which perfect her look.

Is this of her Jennifer’s best outings?

I think she looks great from head to toe, opposed to some who dresses are to revealing.

    The best she’s ever looked!

I think, truth be told, that had I seen this dress on someone like, say, Karlie Kloss, I probably wouldn’t have glanced twice.

But – it’s such a fresh choice for Jennifer Hudson that I’m pretty much floored.

Also the HAIR and makeup are utter perfection.

She got my vote for BDOTW – just because it’s such a radical improvement.

She looks nice and even though it’s sheer I’m glad it’s not another mini dress.

Waist up, she looks fabulous. Waist down is awful.

I like the modifications here of getting rid of the “knights in armor” cuffs and the second sheer strip. J-Hud who has never met a minidress that she does not like gets to have it both ways here and show her legs and wear a longer dress. This looks good on her and her hair is my favorite part of this look. Love it along with her makeup.

Her hair is adorable. She looks great. She should go for this length with her dresses. It’s more flattering to her body. We cannot all afford to wear short dresses unfortunately 🙁

The dress looks way better on her than on the model!
I love her hairstyle and make up, she looks really sexy.

Love the faux hawk. I like the silhouette. One sheer element (across the bust) would have been enough for me. The solid to the bust, sheer strip, solid again, sheer, solid at the bottom just looks a bit choppy to me. She is tall so that helps.
