Carrie Underwood In Fouad Sarkis Couture – 2017 CMA Awards

Carrie Underwood has a glamorous feminine aesthetic with her red carpet ensembles adding high-fashion flair to the favored country silhouettes. This was demonstrated once again at the 2017 CMA Awards on Wednesday (November 8) in Nashville, Tennessee.

The singer wore a Fouad Sarkis Couture gown. I’m not sure whether I’m more struck by this royal blue colour against her complexion or the dramatic silhouette. Combined with the open neckline and ruffled sleeves, this is a striking ensemble that is certainly not lacking in glamour or refinement.

Butani sapphire and diamond earrings, a Hearts on Fire diamond ring and an Anabela Chan lab-grown blue sapphire ring brought out the rich colour of the gown.

It feels like this dress was made for Jane Fonda. Still looks great on her though.

The color is nice but this is such a dated style and silhouette

It’s not aging as such but I can see this on someone older. But it’s interesting in shape and bold in colour.

great colour and I have to like this just because there is not one sequin in sight!

I’m wondering if she’s pregnant. I adore this color.

Dated, old, trying too hard to look like Beyoncé & J.Lo from the 2000s… But is must say i’m loving the beautiful royal blue colour, looks amazing against her skin!

I’m obsessed!! The color is TDF. And I love the simple silhouette
It’s a shame the background was also blue, I think it made the dress lose some of its impact.

This is the best she’s looked!

Amazing earring; the dress color is fantastic but the whole look is deja vu and so dated………Beyonce circa 20xx

the color is gorgeous but the dress is hideous and dated. I hate the little mesh thing at the bodice holding the top together.

I like the color, but the dress screams dated to me and it ages her. The styling is great, but she doesn’t sell the look to me.

While the mermaid dress comes off as a bit dated in 2017, the color is stunning and those earrings are to die for, so this is a win for her imo.
