Fan Bingbing In Giambattista Valli, Elie Saab Couture & Alexander McQueen – Pingyao Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon International Film Festival (PYIFF)

While at the Pingyao Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon International Film Festival (PYIFF) in China, Fan Bingbing showed off three looks over the weekend.

PYIFF Press Conference: At the press conference on Saturday (October 28), Fan had me charmed in her Giambattista Valli Fall 2017 lace gown that took on even sweeter proportions with the cherry motif. With her long curls, this was a modern fairytale look—even if the longer length gave the puffed, swishy skirt a more streamlined effect. Metallic-silver Casadei pumps polished it all off.

PYIFF Opening Ceremony: For the opening ceremony later that day, she delivered the red-carpet glamour that we love and expect in this Elie Saab Fall 2017 Couture creation. I love how the asymmetrical caped, cold-shoulder effect and high slit brought a sense of fresh, directional modernity to the embellished gown. Plus, this emerald-green hue was divine against her complexion.

‘Sky Hunter’ PYIFF Screening: For her third and final ensemble, it was time to put the sweepingly feminine princess mood to the side, as she borrowed from the boys in this menswear-inspired Alexander McQueen Fall 2017 draped jacket and cropped trousers. Yet, I love the fun, girlish spirit she somehow imbued in the look with her hat, long curls, and metallic Casadei pumps. You may remember Brie Larson wore a similar look earlier this year.
