Valentino x InStyle Cocktail Party

Fashion fans were out in full force at the Valentino x InStyle Cocktail Party in Los Angeles on Sunday (October 22), donning their most exuberant ensembles from the designer.

Kate Hudson: In my opinion, her buzzed hair has only enhanced her style. She has delivered fashion hit after hit, and this coral Valentino Spring 2018 gown was another shining example. The sweeping silhouette against her brown crop had a charming pixie vibe.

Gabrielle Union:
The actress’s Resort 2018 outfit had a clear safari influence thanks to its khaki green colour and the flap pockets on the jacket. It’s the subtle details that really brought this home for me such as her jewellery, the black shoes and the undone jacket buttons.

Mandy Moore:
While promoting ‘This Is Us,’ the actress has had a passion for prints. This continued at the event where she donned a patterned Resort 2018 dress. I adore the way the sweater details are juxtaposed with the sheer olive green panels. The two-tone shoes enhanced the rest of the look. Irene Neuwirth jewels provided the finishing touches.

Bella Heathcote: Evoking autumnal vibes, the Australian actress sported a maroon Resort 2018 cape dress and black over-the-knee boots. It was a minimalist outfit that allowed the proportions of the pieces to have the most impact.

Halston Sage: This Valentino Spring 2017 dress had a jovial mood thanks to the interplay of colours and patterns. The black and gold clutch and studded sandals added some edge without competing with the patterned piece.

Zoey Deutch: The young actress experimented with volume in a Resort 2018 dress. She played off the bold black and white floral pattern with white sandals and a black belt. I’d also like to see the ensemble without the cinched waist to appreciate the full trapeze silhouette.

Haley Bennett: Radiant in Valentino red, the singer-actress wore a Spring 2018 gown. The fluidity of the dress was contrasted with a bow detail on one shoulder and an uneven skirt. It had an alluring retro charm, but I’m unconvinced about the hem, especially from this angle.

Marisa Tomei: A gored skirt in the design house’s signature colour added a sharp contrast to the whimsical print on this Spring 2017 dress. She styled it simply with demure white shoes which gave the ensemble a polished finish.

Jaime King: Always one to make a look her own, the stylish star was clad in a Resort 2018 halter dress. Her white socks and two-tone sandals reversed the colours on the frock for a delightful effect. MATEO earrings completed the look.
