Through Her Lens: The Tribeca Chanel Women’s Filmmaker Program Luncheon
The Through Her Lens: The Tribeca Chanel Women’s Filmmaker Program Luncheon was hosted on Tuesday (October 17) in New York City, with a number of Chanel-clad darlings in attendance.
Olivia Wilde: I liked where Olivia was going with the classic tweed skirt juxtaposed with the edgier spirit of the casual-mod cropped tee. It was the ill-fitting tweed jacket that I couldn’t get on board with in this look.
Dakota Fanning: Imbued with girly charm, this little frock balanced sweetness and sophistication.
Rachel Weisz: Elements of fringe and tassels offered an added moment of flair to this tweed look. Were you wishing for a contrasting shoe that was set apart from her tights?
Elizabeth Olsen: Letting the decorative intricacy of her long robe coat truly shine on its own accord, Elizabeth kept the rest of her outfit straightforward and simple for maximum impact.
Christina Ricci: As presented, I liked this look from the calves up, as the midnight-blue coat with its double C buckle offered a striking contrast to Christina’s even icier blonde locks and red lip. The velvet boots threw me off, though, as they divided the sleekness of the leg line.
Rebecca Hall: Rebecca’s footwear also stopped me in my tracks, with the two-tone gray effect between the boots and her cropped trousers offering a jarring contrast.
Zosia Mamet: While this was a rather polished look for Zosia, I still question the black turtleneck under this embellished frock—although the black toe cap of her shoes did unite it somewhat.
Jennifer Morrison: With this Chanel letter blouse, lace-up vest dress, and bold clutch, I can see the more playful angle Jennifer was aiming for here—especially with her new auburn-red locks coupled with that candy apple lip. However, the look just seemed a bit forced.
