Diane Kruger In Giambattista Valli Couture – Cartier Celebrates Resonances de Cartier

I’ve been waiting for a Diane Kruger moment to get you back on side, and I think this is it.

The actress was back to her very best wearing a Giambattista Valli Fall 2017 Couture gown to the Cartier’s celebration of Resonances de Cartier on Tuesday (October 10) in New York City.

I have no doubt that the classic romanticism of this Giambattista Valli design will tugging at your heart strings.

The look is so elegant and refined, yet Diane brings that edge, that je ne sais quoi that has been M.I.A. from her most recent looks.

Cartier jewels and a black clutch completed her BDOTW worthy look.

Welcome back Diane. We missed you.

Gorgeous (although can’t help but think of Angelina Jolie when I look at the runway pic., also the draping seems a tad off on Diane and the black clutch looks a bit harsh)

Regal. She looks divine in this. Like a frigging fashion Queen which she is.
Love her, and love this look from her and hope she sticks with this formula.

Let’s hope this means her “fauxternative” phase is OVER. This is the Diane that I know and love.

      “fauxternative” interesting term 😀

Finally, she’s back!!! She looks fantastic… love this look. Definite BDOTW contender. This is refined, elegant and chic! So relieved to see Diane getting back her red carpet groove.

FINALLY! Beautiful dress and she looks fabulous in it. Classic Diane Kruger. The model is wearing the shoulder part better than Diane but that’s nitpicking

This isnt wowing me. She looks nice. It’s almost too fabric-y to me.

Shes been bouncing around stylists from Mandy Moores to this being Lupita’s stylist. What I always loved about Diane was that she didn’t use a stylist. I felt like her looks were much more authentic. This is lovely though, like the old Diane. I’ve wondered if this is because of her potential awards season run, and a studio forcing her to have a stylist. They should be reminded of the looks from the year she was on the Cannes jury to be reminded she doesn’t crack under pressure.

    • Chris October 11, 2017 at 15:23 #

I don’t think it has something to do with awards season… she isn’t really having a potential award season run, like, that movie is going nowhere with that distributor. And even besides the distributor question, she just won Cannes because the movies with the stronger best actress contenders won in other categories, she sort of won by default, as some people have been saying. And the movie doesn’t actually have that good reviews and the best actress race is crowded AF with actresses with much better reviews and even a lot of those won’t make it anywhere. She might still try with some campaigning, but she and her team surely know this…

Back with a BANG! This is the quintessence of elegance to me. Understated luxury with no bling, no frills, no puff skirt. The material and the construction do all the talk. The colour is divine.

    • Ale October 11, 2017 at 14:23 #

      I totally agree.

    • Schoolbea October 11, 2017 at 22:26 #

I love this kind of offering, too: the luxury of beautiful fabric and design, polished styling, regal presence.

      • Leandra October 11, 2017 at 23:26 #

Regal indeed. She looks like a high priestess from some sort of ultra-luxury Tarot cards.

        • Schoolbea October 12, 2017 at 22:13 #

That one actually made me laugh out loud!

I’d buy that pack of cards to flick through the outfits. 🙂

With this bold red Giambattista Valli offering, I shall BOW DOWN to Queen Diane for regaining her former red carpet reign, SLAY Diane SLAY!! She looks like a true goddess, head to toe PERFECTION and she couldn’t look more stunning if she tries, so welcome back my Queen!!

    This is a beautiful dress.
The way the model wears it, around her shoulders, is better, still Diane looks great.

  17. Alina October 11, 2017 at 08:15 #

YESSS! Just… YES! Flawless as she used to be.

  18. Chris October 11, 2017 at 08:08 #

Apparently, this was styled by Micaela Erlanger, Lupita’s stylist. So maybe that’s why it’s different, because she got herself a stylist again for the first time in years? I mean, the ‘no stylist’ thing worked out very well for her for a couple of years, but lately, some results have been questionable, so maybe this is a good idea.

Anyway, to get to the point: I love this, too, obviously. 😀

    • CreoleLady October 11, 2017 at 09:36 #

Interesting info about the stylist. Thank you. Seems the right stylist can make a very positive difference.

    • Christine October 11, 2017 at 11:57 #

Well no wonder!! This is fab! Finally.
