Green Carpet Fashion Awards Roundup

The inaugural Green Carpet Fashion Awards took place in Milan on Sunday (September 24), focusing on celebrating sustainable innovation and supply chains striving to minimize their footprints. Fittingly, many of the lovely ladies in attendance wore ensembles in keeping with the awards’ ethos.

Arizona Muse: Looking lovely in lace, the model wore a bespoke print gown with handmade lace detailing by Stella McCartney for the Green Carpet Challenge. The alluring piece was crafted from recycled archival print fabrics. The mix of the delicate black lace with ab cut out against the flowing florals on the bottom was thoroughly intriguing.

Naomi Campbell: The model struck a pose in an Atelier Versace Spring 2017 Couture gown. Swirls of silver embroidery were enhanced by a gradient train of white and yellow feathers. Naomi’s signature mane was brushed over one shoulder, revealing the halter neckline of the dress.

Gisele Bündchen: The model brought more green to the event with her Stella McCartney bespoke emerald green goddess gown and studded Stella McCartney ‘Falabella’ clutch. Gisele’s tousled locks were in keeping with the softness of the dress.

Karolina Kurkova: The Czech model wore a Salvatore Ferragamo dress made especially for the occasion. The voluminous frock utilized all green materials and recycled orange peels waste to produce the resulting whimsical fabric by Orange Fiber. It had a cloud-like quality, but the strappy hot pink shoes brought it down to earth.
