Nicole Kidman In Valentino – ‘The Killing Of A Sacred Deer’ Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Nicole Kidman has been experimenting with looks ranging from romantic to classic on red carpets of late. At ‘The Killing Of A Sacred Deer’ Toronto Film Festival premiere on Saturday (September 9), she opted for a maximalist approach.

She donned a Valentino Resort 2018 maxi gown which complemented her statuesque beauty.

The heavily-detailed dress was tempered by simple hair, soft pink lipstick and Chloe Gosselin ‘Narcissus’ sandals.

Some might wish that Nicole wore her hair up to fully reveal the details on the bodice, but I thought the effortless waves worked with the dress’s bohemian flair.

NOOO! Come on, Nicole! You’re an icon. This dress is not for an icon.

Not what the others have said, but in general I’ve thought these Gucci dresses unflattering to everyone who has worn them. Nicole for once manages to make the shape of the dress seem natural on her figure and the clashing colours do not either overwhelm her colouring or fight with it. In a “who wore it best” of all the appearances of these dresses Nicole is the only one to come well out of it.

Nicole did the glamorous boho thing beautifully years ago with this look: http://www.redcarpet-fashionawards.com/2010/01/24/2010-sag-awards-nicole-kidman-in-oscar-de-la-renta/

Relaxed, wavy auburn hair, softer makeup, and a much prettier dress back then.

Compared to that, this is garish and poorly executed.

This dress has too much going on and is ugly IMO. Nicole can’t save it.

I dont like this, at all. It looks something you buy in one off those stands in IIbiza streets. Boho is sooooooooooo over right now.

I feel like she has worn something like this not too long ago. It looks familiar to me, don’t know why.

not sure I like this dress on her, maybe on somebody a bit more boho? But I know for sure that the colour of her hair and the colours of the dress clash and are not a good combination.

I am sure this dress would look better on somebody with auburn hair.

Make up is also too strong for the hippie vibe.

I wanted her to wear something different and colorful, but… I’m not sure about this one. It sure is interesting, but I feel like the dress in combination with the make-up might take it a bit too far? Some more natural, less harsh make-up might have helped make this work. But I’m definitely intrigued.
