Elodie Yung In Christian Dior – Build Studios

Elodie Yung paid a visit to the Build Studios in New York City to discuss her new film ‘The Defenders’ on Tuesday (August 1).

Presenting a sweet aesthetic, this dress from Christian Dior dress is ruched at the waist for lovely volume which deliver a sweet, graceful appeal.

Unfortunately I am baffled by the shoe choice.

Louboutin create some fun footwear, but this particular pair are in total contrast with her dress and make no sense at all especially when you consider that they are also velvet.

    Not a good look

There’s something off with this design, I think it is the length of the skirt and the fit of the waist. I’m not a fan by any means.

The shoes are fun but not Sophia-Webster-like-fun-and-cute. Just fun but pretty ugly.

the dress is a bore and the shoes are hideous.

The shoes are so fussy (and, honestly, quite ugly). They ruin the simplicity and crispness of the outfit.

    Forced whimsy.

The shoes look heavy and go against the fresh crispness of the dress.

Wow I hate those shoes. In the context of the otherwise minimalist look she could have made almost every crazy out there shoe work. But she did find the one pair that really doesn’t make the cut.

I agree that shoes are a bit of a jolt but I prefer that to something boring.

The shoes, kooky as they may be, are the most interesting part. The dress is a total snooze IMO.
