Disney’s D23 EXPO 2017 Red Carpet Roundup

Many more Disney darlings joined the likes of Anika Noni Rose, Mandy Moore and Kristen Bell for Disney’s D23 EXPO 2017 in Anaheim, California on Friday (July 14) and Saturday (July 15).

Emily Blunt: With fresh, platinum waves, the actress kept it feminine and fun in this rose-printed Dolce & Gabbana frock emboldened by the intensity of her bold lip and red-satin sandals.

Daisy Ridley: We’ve seen a number of girly frocks at the D23 EXPO thus far, so I was delighted by Daisy’s slight twist on traditional femininity in this Lela Rose ensemble. I love the mod romance of the, off-the-shoulder, bell-sleeve topped paired with the cropped trousers and quirky Pierre Hardy eye-accented shoes.

Karen Gillan: A dazzling example of a successful Miu Miu moment, this sequined peacock slip dress was just embellished enough—but far and away from overcooked territory. The metallic shoes were a great match, but I would have loved to see Karen’s locks treated as more than afterthought.

Mindy Kaling: We know how well Mindy can wear vibrant colour, but she still brought a dynamic look in graphic black-and-white with this Christian Siriano dress that did leave me craving a brighter, summer lip instead of her deep crimson shade.

Reese Witherspoon: I always anticipate Reese’s outfit to be on parallel with her bubbly, effervescent personality. And, this Isabel Marant frock didn’t exactly carry the same vibrancy as I would have wished—not in silhouette nor in shade. Christian Louboutin ‘Choca’ sandals completed the look.

Laura Dern: Ladylike with a retro flair, Laura’a Bottega Veneta Fall 2017 dress would have likewise benefited from a different ’do—something sleeker would have upped the classic elegance of the look.

Storm Reid: The young starlet may only be 14, but she showed a command of style in this Chloe Pre-Fall 2017 ensemble paired with on-trend Schutz block heels. Youthfully chic—and sweet.
