Suki Waterhouse oozed utilitarian chic at the premiere of ‘The Bad Batch’ on Monday (June 19) in Los Angeles, California.
I love the olive green colour of her David Koma Fall 2017 dress which was paired with some black ribbon details which call to mind camouflage, but in a very fashionable – and sultry – way.
The strictness of the structure feels masculine but is softened by the feminine flared hem and the built-in bra and mini skirt layer, bringing a perfect balance to this look.
I love the designer’s vision of an edgier look, however, Suki swapped the runway lace-up boots for strappy heels and the sleek straight hairstyle for a wavy one, yet still possessed a military mood.
Are you onboard with Suki’s interpretation?

Surprisingly messy off the runway. To be fair it’s a bit out there already on the runway but the model pulls it off with the boots and otherwise stark minimalism.
It seems like there are too many design elements (double slits, multiple cut outs, flared hem, AND those straps is a bit much) but I really love this on Suki! Her styling works well.
I like it better on the model
Ugly dress but she does make it work for her. Like her hair styled like this.

I’d pair this dress with Balenciaga Spandex thigh boots in black and do maybe a slicked high ponytail with a bit of black sparkle shadows on eyes. But I also love how Suki’s stylists made this look seem more romantic and, considering that Suki usually goes to something natural with make-up and hair styling, it was kinda expected but it did work good as well!

The dress is interesting for sure, but the free-hanging black straps are distracting and unnecessary.

+2. Her hair contributes to the messy vibe. It should have been up in a ponytail.
