Chopard x Rihanna Dinner Party

Araya A. Hargate, Julianne Moore and Winnie Harlow joined Rihanna for her dinner party to celebrate the Rihanna ♥ Chopard Haute Joaillerie Collection during Cannes Film Festival on Thursday (May 18).

Araya A. Hargate: We haven’t seen this maternity style this awe-inspiring since Blake Lively during Cannes last year. After Araya’s dramatic red carpet look, the actress changed direction again going for a soft Giambattisa Valli Couture look. I wasn’t particularly fond of this when I saw it on the runway, but it’s amazing what a swift modification of the sleeves and a baby bump can do.

Julianne Moore: Following her red carpet look earlier in the day, I felt this this medieval-style, custom Sonia Rykiel gown fell flat. Too somber and I’m not a huge fan of the fit around the bodice.

Winnie Harlow: Going from princess to vixen, it seems that Winnie did have a slashed-to-the-hip-bone moment afterall; which of course came courtesy of Roberto Cavalli.

I really like Araya’s style, she is actually one of the few actresses who actually buy haute couture dresses (along Lupita N. and Catherine Deneuve).

Love Araya’s look, it’s like a breath of fresh air!

Why, Julianne? :/ That’s a pretty bad dress indeed. I can forgive her this misstep though, considering her premiere looks are to me the best of Cannes so far.
Araya looks lovely, her best of the festival so far imo.

No to all of the looks from me.

I love Araya’s dress, the softness of the colour scheme and the way the soft fabric drapes… It’s dreamy.

I don’t completely dislike Winnie’s dress but I’m getting “slit fatigue”.

And Julianne’s horrendous dress goes straight to my WDOTY, I kid you not.

Araya looks fabulous in that dress. It’s a beautiful dress. Julianne’s dress is horrible. To be honest, I find Winnie’s skin condition very distracting from what she’s wearing. I applaud her for being brave enough because I fight being very self-conscious all the time.

That thing on Julianne’s body is beyond ugly. Look at that bodice. If I were her I would refuse to wear such a piece, no exageration .
    Araya looks regal.

Araya is perfection – what a delightful maternity style, indeed. It’s one hit after the other – from a confident femme fatale to something more soft and romantic…loving her style –
she is not lowering the bar and continues to elevate her looks

The other 2 are boring and unremarkable.

Araya’s look here is so classy and sweet at the same time. Love the colour combination and the effortless elegance.
