Following the 2017 NBCUniversal Upfront event, Jennifer Hudson was back on the red carpet for the Entertainment Weekly and PEOPLE Upfronts Party on Monday (May 15).
Jennifer, who will be a judge on the upcoming season of ‘The Voice’, wore another mini, this time a floral purple mini from the Gucci Spring 2017 collection.
While the lively violet works well on Jennifer, the ruching on the hips and airy sleeves makes for odd proportions on Jennifer.
Does the fit overshadows the positives for you?
Charlize Theron made a more successful choice by selecting the commercial version of the same dress during CinemaCon back in March.

nope. how do you even sit in this piece of fabric?
This is not a good look
I miss the runway leggings and a belt. The stylish, almost inexistent, is disappointing.
I wish she had worn the runway leggings with it .
That looks way too short and tight. And I don’t understand the styling either, what are those shoes?
Charlize’s version of the look was *much* better indeed.
Mess.
Would have looked amazing with the purpled sequinned trouser-leggings. Darn…
It is wayyy too short. Also starting to feel one note.
That’s not a dress – it’s a shirt.
This is a mess.
“Oi! Don’t forget to picture my legs… Did you realize I have beautiful legs ? Yes, those… Please. Thank you so much.”
I love the colour but hate the Golden Girls kind of print.
I can’t be the only one getting really bored of her constant choice for very short dresses..
You’re not. I’m totally bored with her too short, too tight dresses and this isn’t even a dress. It’s a top.
Me too
I have to admit, me too.
She is a beautiful lady and I understand she wants to celebrate her new, slimmer figure but there are better ways to do it…
I really wish to see her in something different next time!
You are not the only one. Every time we see her she’s in these too short dress and its very boring and tiring.
Yes stop already! It just doesn’t flatter her. Nor would it most of us…
